Silas' POV

*A Week and a Half later*

It's been a little over a week and we finished our first school day together. As weird as it was, it wasn't as odd as I made it seem. I still don't feel comfortable with Kalila writing everything for me but she seemed fine with it, excited even. She asked me what I wanted more notes on and what kind of notes would benefit me. She was attentive, and meticulous, and cared about what she provided me. I truly appreciated her and it made studying so much easier. I've made a few friends here and it's not as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. Even Zeus is more chill. However, he has been feeling a little antsy and a little off the rails when it comes to Kalila but I'm just throwing that under the rug for now.

I was sitting at the desk, studying the practice of combat for a paper, when I heard small footsteps walk over to me. I looked up and I saw Kalila shuffling towards me with a blanket wrapped around her. She looked so cute!

"Hey, what's up?" I ask her. She fiddled with her blanket-covered hands and couldn't look me in the eye.

"Um, I was just wondering if there was anything I could help you with. You know, maybe help you study, cook some food, or anything like that," she says. 

"That's sweet of you to ask but I'm okay right now." She frowned and fiddled with her hands more. She seems a little antsy so maybe she needs something to do. "Actually, do you think you could make me some coffee? With..."

"2 pumps of cream, 2 pumps of sugar, and a dash of honey?" She recites.

"Yeah, that's right." She smiled and nodded.

"Yes, I can do that!" She shuffles off to the kitchen and starts making coffee. Okay, that was adorable. I smiled at her actions and continued doing my schoolwork. About 15 minutes later, she comes back, puts the coffee down on the desk, and escapes back to her room. I followed her with my eyes, wondering why she was acting like that. She was fine a bit ago. 

My god, are you really that stupid?

Excuse me?

She clearly wants our attention. Here you are, doing schoolwork, when we could be in there, blowing her back out.

Okay, first of all. I think I know what my own mate needs. It's only been a little over a week and neither of us has felt...aroused or anything like that. So, we still have time before nature runs its course.

Really? Okay. Then, go to her room and see if she's okay.

I will! And when I do, she'll probably be lying on her bed, reading a book, and drinking some tea. 

Yeah, we'll see about that. Just hurry up and go to her.

All right, all right. Chill.

I took a sip of the coffee she made and it was delicious. The perfect amount of sweetness. I got up and walked to her room. When I got there, I was hit with an overwhelming sweet smell that took me to my knees. Holy fuck, what is that wonderful smell? Is it her? I tried to calm myself down so I could knock on her door but that smell was intoxicating. Zeus is losing his mind right now. He wants to take over. I can't let him do that because I know exactly what he is going to do and I need to be in a good state of mind. I tried to ignore the smell as I got to my feet and knocked on the door. I heard a little gasp come from her.

"Um, Kalila? Are you okay? I just noticed you come into your room in a huff," I say.

"Oh, yeah! I'm okay. Sorry about that. I didn't mean to worry you." 

"No, no. It's okay. Do you have anything sweet in there? Like some doughnuts or something?"

You fucking idiot! That sweet scent is her! Now, open the door so I can have that delicious treat.
