Cassidy's POV
It's been about 3 months since I started college and it is so refreshing to not have to deal with my parents every day. I still have to go to church every Sunday which is a bitch but whatever. It's a small price I can pay to not have to deal with my parents every day.
I sit in the passenger seat of Jeremy's car as he drives us to church. We stay silent most of the trip as I scroll through Instagram. I see some of Justine's pictures and most of them are videos of her training. The strain on her face was so hot. She looks so focused, lifting those heavy weights. She just recently posted a new picture and it's her, posing in the mirror, flexing her triceps. Oh, my god. She looks so good. I made sure to like it and posted a comment.
"Cassidy, I have something I want to ask you," Jeremy says. I rolled my eyes in my head. I don't want him talking to me.
"What is it?"
"Why have you never wanted to give me a chance? I mean, you are still single and I think that we could be a beautiful couple. I could make you so happy. You would be a gorgeous church bride and us being together makes the most sense." I thought I already shot him down. I don't want to be with him. Not now, not ever.
"It's better this way. I don't have any interest in being with you. Ever. We're better off being friends," I tell him.
"Why can't I have a chance to change your mind? I can make you happy. I can keep you satisfied."
"Jeremy, I suggest you drop this topic. The answer is no. The answer will always be no. I do not like you that way and I never will. Now before I forbid you from even being around me, drop the subject," I state firmly. I tune him out as I see Justine texting me. I tried to keep a smile off my face so Jeremy doesn't notice anything.
From: Love Bug
Hey, baby. I hope you enjoy church. I was hoping you would like to have a date night tonight. Staying in, ordering some food, and lots of sex. I have some new toys I want to try.
I bit my lower lip in anticipation and messaged her back.

Sounds amazing. I'd love that. But will I be using these toys on you too?
I went back to scrolling Instagram while I waited for her response.
"You know, you should think about joining the church's adult group. We have a bunch of different games and activities that you would find super interesting," Jeremy pipes in. I noticed we slowed down a bit and we're at church.
"Well, we'll see about that. Let's not be late." I exited the car without further ado and walked towards the church. I did not want to be here any more than I had to. I'm here to please my parents and that's it. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't even be here right now. I would much rather be at home, snuggling with my girlfriend. But that's not going to happen.
"Oh, Cassidy, you're here!" Mom called out. I smiled and waved. She kissed my cheeks and Dad followed suit. "How are things going at school?"
"They're great. All of my classes are exactly how I want them to be and it's so fun," I say.
"Yes, love. Well, this is your freshman year. Once you get used to it, you can change your major to something more suitable. Like...Oh, library sciences. You'd make a great librarian. Or even something like...a pastor! A female pastor! That's not something you see every day," Dad comments as we take our seats.
My parents never accepted my decision to become a dancer. They think it's a waste of my time and that I will never be successful. They are so exhausting.
