*Not important but this is part 69. ;)*

Eloise's POV

"Why would you do that, Scar?" I question as Tyler and his brother, I assume, walked away from the booth.

"You need it. You have turned down 4 guys in the last 3 years. No one is going to want to marry you and give you the kids you so desperately want if you don't even give anyone a chance."

"That's not true. I had a little thing with David." She rolls her eyes at me.

"Okay, you went on a few dates, you gave him your virginity, and now he knocked up 5 girls. You're lucky you were not one of them. He is not the guy you need." I scoffed and crossed my arms.

"And who is the guy I need?"

"Tyler! Now, I did you a favor because the guy was clearly smitten with you."

"He was not," I try to refuse but she shuts me down.

"I saw everything. You left him damn near speechless." I shook my head but I couldn't help but smile when he was trying to speak.

"Okay, whatever. Come on, we're almost done with the day." The rest of the day went by smoothly and we sold out of our produce quickly. I deliver the carrots to Miss Ma'am Simmons before loading up the cart in the car and driving back home.

Once we got back home, I stored the cart in the garage and walked into the kitchen to see Mom cooking up some dinner.

"Hey, Mom. What's for dinner?" She turns and smiles at me.

"Spring stew. So, we have carrots, spring onions, kale, peas, and some chicken." I smell the stew and it smelt so good.

"Oh, man, This is going to be good." I walked to the sink to wash my hands.

"So, how was the booth after we left?" Mom asked.

"It did great. We sold out again."

"That's good. Oh, some new neighbors just moved in next door. So, I already baked some cookies and filled a basket with some crops that we didn't sell today. So, be a sweet pea and bring it over, please?"

"Of course. I'll be right back." I grabbed the basket that was on the table and headed out. I noticed the moving truck outside of the house and I walked up the front stairs and knocked on the door.

"One sec!" Wait, why does that voice sound familiar? It doesn't connect with my mind until I see the door open and it reveals...

"Tyler?"

"Eloise?!"

I stand there shocked, not expecting to see the guy that I have a date with in just a few days.

"What are you doing here?" He asks me, just as shocked as I was.

"Well, my mom said we got new neighbors and she made a basket to give."

"Wow, that's crazy." He was about to say something when he got interrupted by someone.

"Who's at the door, Ty?" I hear a female voice ask.

"It's our new neighbor!" He calls back. I hear more footsteps and I see his mother, I assume, because she looks exactly like Tyler. The same warm brown eyes, chestnut brown hair, and rosy cheeks.

"Oh, hello dear! Wait, are you Cordelia's daughter?" I nod.

"Yes, ma'am. Well, one of them. The other is in her room already."

"Oh, yes! I met your mom earlier today! She's so sweet." I remembered I still had the basket in my hand so I handed it off.

"Oh, my mom made some cookies for you and we had some more crops that we didn't sell today so she added those in as well," I say. She takes the basket with a warm smile.
