Fiora's POV:
"I'm coming! Just hold on!" I sigh frustrated.
"Alright sheesh! Take forever." My boyfriend replied annoyed.
My hair had a knot and I was painfully trying to undo it but it was taking longer than I expected.
"Aha got it!" I managed to finally untangle it. "OK we can go now!"
"Good I've been hungry for hours now." He adds.
"C'mon let's get in the car."
He leads me into his sports car, well new sports car. I actually didn't know he had just bought it.
"Whatdoya think Fiora." He smugly grinned. "It's a Dodge Charger SRT, fresh off the lot."
"Oh um it's looks cool!" He smiled. I was happy for him but I didn't really care about the car itself.
He opened the door for me and helped me inside.
He drove us to the restaurant I reserved. We sat down and ordered our dinner.
"Wow I can't believe I'm here. A couple months ago I was feeling lonely and thought I would never be happy with somebody cool like you." He looked like a kid who just got a new toy.
"Um me too." I added, I try to stay positive but I remember something that had happened earlier.
If you want to know, earlier he and I had our first kiss together but it was complete normal. Nothing 'special' happened. I'm starting to wonder if he's not the one and honestly that makes me really sad.
"Something wrong Fi'?" He asked.
"Huh nope, nothing at all." I refused to tell him. "Also since when have you been calling me 'Fi'? You don't usually shorten names." I ask suspicious.
"I don't know? I guess it just came up. Sorry I won't say it again." He apologized.
You better not jerk.
"I'm sorry, I just don't like to be reminded of past relationships." I sighed.
"I totally get it. I mean from what I heard he sounds like a jerk, at least emotionally. Always constantly cutting you away from him. You don't deserve that." He tried to help me.
"Yeah I guess so, but enough about that. So what is with you?" I shrugged.
"There's nothing new with me other than new car, but I'm worried about you. You've been in a mood the entire day." He asks.
"It's just, I don't know. I don't think it's appropriate now."
Our food arrives and we eat. We make small talk about other subjects but nothing special really.
He decides to try to help me so talks me into taking a walk with him in a city park.
We hold hands and walk down the sidewalk. He looks at me worried. "Fiora I'm really worried about you. You just been reserved for a while now, what is it?"
"Maybe I just need some space." I snap. "Alright?"
"O-oh OK." He backs off, saddened.
We keep walking and I notice the Black Systems HQ.
"Hey I dropped off my laptop there the other week to get it fixed. I just remembered I can pick it up today." I point to the building. "It's it OK that we go over there and pick it up?" I ask.
"Of course Fiora, I don't mind at all." He gently smiles at me.
I thank him and we walk over there but as I get closer and closer I notice.
I noticed TWO huge craters in the building.
"What the fuck!?" I exclaim but not too much. "What happened here-"
I also notice blue and rose colored beams being shot near the building.
My curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to go over there and see but my boyfriend stops me. "Wait Fiora, you're not even a range 5 and you want to investigate that? For all we know some bad shit is happening over there!" He tried to warn me.
"Than you'll come with me! You're a range 5.3 right? You should be fine." He hesitated but followed after me.
I crept closer to the raging fight. I could hear someone trying to comfort someone while the other is trash talking them.
Is one of them high or mentally sick?
I wasn't close enough to make out who it is but as I got closer I could detect one of their abilities.
I grabbed my boyfriend's ability and whoever that was as well and I fused them and created a strange new power.
Solar Energy? Who would have an energy ability? Maybe like Energy Beam or Light Energy maybe?
"Fiora I don't think this is a good idea." He tried to budge me to retreat.
"Nonsense, get your phone out. We may need to call the co-"
I noticed totalled police cars, fire trucks and ambulances. Military helicopters in pieces and other military equipment in shambles.
"-nevermind."
I crept in closer and I almost got hit by an explosion.
Shit what the fuck is going on here?!
But I got close enough that I figured out what the fuck was going on.
