My new friend Eques and I arrived at Aurora and found Daniel freaking out over paperwork.
"Sir? Is everything alright?" I ask.
"Oh? Don't worry about it son." Daniel blows it off. "I see you've brought Eques with you. Nice to meet you son."
"Nice to meet you too sir." Eques replied.
"Now unfortunately, the others arrived a bit earlier than you." Daniel sighed.
"I bet they didn't have a protest to dodge through." I mumbled go myself.
Salvus and Astral came into the room, eating fast food. I noticed Salvus cleaned up his appearance today. Which is kinda strange.
Salvus what are you up to?
"Oh hey Em," Salvus swallowed his food. "Is this they new guy we were talking about?"
"My name is Eques, if you need to know I'm a 7.0 in Metal Manipulation." He greeted himself to the other two.
"A seven?! Where do we keep finding these high fucking rangers!? At this point I'm like the weakest out of all of ya'll!" Salvus exclaims.
"Calm down Salvus, it's just a range level. Besides I think you're pretty cu- I MEAN courageous by yourself so you don't need to worry about your strength Salvus." Astral tried to assure him.
Another girl walked into the room, which I have never met before also came into the room holding an empty cup. "Does anyone know where I can find the coffee machine?"

"Oh I almost forgot! Emerson, Eques. This is Glancia, she's also another new recruit." Daniel spoke. "Glancia, that's Emerson the team Alpha and he's Eques."
"Oh hi, you two look.....ok." She looked at us. "Any chance you guys where the coffee machine is?"
"Room next to the hall." I gestured with my thumb.
The hell does she mean I look OK!? Motherfucker I'll show you OK.
"Well now that we've all greeted each other, let's discuss Glanica and Eques' positions on the team." Daniel clapped his hands and shoved the paperwork away from his desk and sat on it.
"Now despite what society has told you, Beta in this team means second in command. Basically the one in charge in the event the Alpha is in a situations where he cannot lead." Daniel explained the positioning. "The other one avaliable is the Omega position. Which is last in the team but is also the most independent member as well."
I don't know why Daniel made Alpha, I'm not very good at being a leader....
Glancia came back sipping coffee and I glanced over to Daniel. "I think I already know what position she's suited for."
"It sure as hell isn't bottom." Salvus joked. Astral punched his arm.
"Salv, enough with the sex jokes." I sigh.
"However you are right, Glancia seems fit in the Omega position rather than second in command Beta." Daniel thought about it. "Eques could you handle being in Beta? Being the Beta would mean cooperating with Alpha on making crucial decions and also being able to take over if necessary. Is a big tolerance to play."
"I think I could handle it." Eques smiled. "Doesn't sound too though for me."
"Honestly I agree. It's only fitting that the second highest ranger also is the second in command." Astral commented.
"The team is complete! Perfect!" Daniel got off his desk and began writing down a document. "I shall write down the entire team down and make it official.
Daniel signed the document and folded it into an envelope. "I need this to send the Government that we are a reliable defense service."
Aurora Defensive has a lot of "government this" and "government that" its making me sick!
"Alright now one more thing. Alpha, Gamma and Delta. You know that there is a large mission ahead for all five of you but before I send you all out there's one thing that needs to get done."
"What would that be?" Glancia slurped the last of her drink.
"Well, you five will have dinner at a restaurant to discuss with each other. I need you five to understand each other better, you need to discuss your personal selves, you weaknesses and strengths and anything else you find fit. It'll be on the house so do not worry about paying for anything while you're there. But I do require EVERYONE to show up." Daniel laid out the upcoming event.
"It'll be tomorrow so I advise you five to prepare for the event." Daniel brushed off his coat. "You five are dismissed."
We left the building, everyone else headed to their own business whereas I was just left there by myself.
The investigation on Black Systems sounded like a daunting task and I was slightly worried about not being able to be up to the task.
But I guess that's a worry for another day.
