My eyes fluttered open as I turned to my side, glancing at the untouched pillow and empty space beside me.

Letting out a shaky sigh, I slowly got up, remember the series of events that occurred the previous night.

I walked into the kitchen, taking in a deep breath as I pulled out a small coffee mug from the top cabinet; Shawn's favorite mug.

Making myself a hot cup of coffee, I heard the front door open, and soft footsteps shuffling around about the entrance.

Not bothering to turn, for I knew who it was, I continued on with my breakfast, as the footsteps faded away, moving into the living room.

I walked in as Shawn took off his shoes, setting them down beside him on the wooden floor beneath his feet.

The room fell silent, an awkward tension arose between the two of us, as we sat on opposite sides of the cream colored couch, the both of us staring at nothing in particular.

"So where were you last night?" I asked, my voice still shaky as I avoided making eye contact with Shawn, fiddling with the handle on the coffee mug.

"At my mom's," he whispered, a slight tone of anger in his voice.

"Oh," I raised an eyebrow, "because two nights ago you said you were going to your mothers, but I found you with another girl instead, and-"

"Stop!" He yelled, now standing up as did I, "I told you I was sorry, yet you refuse to forgive me like the stubborn little bitch you are!"

His eyes turned an inky black as his fists were balled up, knuckles turned white as they hung tense by his sides.
Shawn's jaw was clenched as his chest rose and fell quickly.

"How should I know that this isn't one of your little lies again, Shawn," I shook my head, disgusted at the thought, "are you sure you weren't ripping clothes off of another blonde last night?"

Biting his lip in anger, Shawn turned around, his hand colliding with the white and blue marbled vase beside him as I flinched in fear.

Moving down the wall, he ripped picture frames of the two of us off of the white surface, smashing them on the ground as glass covered the floor.

"Shawn," I whispered, scared that he would do more than just break furniture and decor.

"I'm just done with you thinking that-" he stopped, turning around, his face immediately softening at my frightened expression.

"Baby girl," he whispered, running swiftly over to me and engulfing me in a huge, his large, strong arms wrapping around my frail and shaking body, "I'm sorry."

I swallowed, weakly wrapping my arms around his torso as he pushed my head into his chest, swaying us side to side as the room stayed completely silent; nothing but the sound of the clock ticking being audible.

"I really was at my mom's, baby girl, I promise," he whispered, his voice cracking as he was on the verge of tears, "I know I broke your trust but please, please forgive me. Let me earn it back, I love you."

I sighed, pulling away and giving him a faint smile as he looked at me with hope in his soft, caramel colored eyes.

"Okay," I nodded, speaking softly as Shawn replied with a small smile, "don't break it again."
