Surprise On Stage

"Dont be nervous, (y/n)! Be excited! You've been waiting so long!" My friend told me.

I played with my fingers trying to distract myself from how nervous I was.

"I-I know I should be."

"Come on, lets go!" She grinned, grabbing my hand and pulling me into the concert venue filled with thousands of screaming girls who came to see my boyfriend, Shawn, perform live.

We sat in the fourth row closest to the stage, waiting for him to come out.

"Relax!" She whispered sensing how anxious I was about the surprise.

I was planning on getting on stage to surprise Shawn, since I haven't seen him for the last three months because of this tour. All of the fans and my friends knew I would be here and they all promised to keep it a secret. I hope Shawn still doesn't know.

I went over what I had to do multiple times in my head, hoping I wouldn't mess up. My thoughts we interrupted my the fans screaming as Shawn walked out on stage.

I immediately broke down into tears as he smiled at the crowd. It's been so long since I've been this close to him.

"Hey, everybody!" He yelled into the microphone with his sweet voice I had missed, "Thanks for coming out tonight!"

The crowd went crazy but soon quieted down when he began to sing his first song, A Little Too Much.

The crowd swayed back and forth as his angelic voice filled the entire venue.

The time came for him to sing his last song of the night, and my favorite, Never Be Alone, as he had written it for me.

"Okay so this next song is called Never Be Alone," he said into the microphone as the fans went wild.

He scratched the back of his neck, smiling really big, "This one, I actually wrote on my first tour ever. I wrote it because I missed my girlfriend, (y/n), so much."

The fans screamed and some girls looked at me while Shawn let out a deep chuckle, running his fingers through his messy quiff again.

"Yeah, so, I missed her a lot and wrote this about her, and, um, so, I just want to dedicate it to her because I still really miss her, so, yeah. Here we go."

He started to sing and more tears made their way down my cheeks. The end of the song was nearing and it was time for me to surprise Shawn.

The fans moved over and I stepped onto the side of the stage walking up behind Shawn. He still hadn't noticed me as he was singing so passionately to the crowd.

The whole crowd was singing back to him, but everyone got quiet when I came up to the stage.

Shawn stopped singing and said into the microphone, "Guys? What happened? Sing along!"

Everyone whispered to each other and pointed at me up on the stage.

"Wh-" Shawn turned around and stopped when he saw me.

He took off his guitar, placing it on the ground as I ran into his arms.

"Surprise!" Everyone called out, just as I had told them to.

Shawn picked me up by the back of my thighs and spun me around, whispering into my ear.

"How did-I-What?" He was at a loss of words.

I giggled, "Surprise, baby," I mumbled into the crook of his neck.

I let out a few tears as Shawn held onto me tight.

"I missed you so much," he sighed and put me down, rubbing his teary eyes, his cheeks flushed a bright red.

"I missed you more," I giggled, running my hand along his cheek, snuggling my face into his chest, breathing in and savoring the strong scent of his cologne.

I pulled away and I looked into his eyes while he smiled really big.

He leaned in and placed his soft, rosy pink lips on mine. Our lips moved in sync as the fans went wild again. I felt him smile into the kiss and he placed his hands on my cheeks. There was so much love, passion, and need in that one kiss.

He pulled away, breathless, and leaned his forehead against mine. Shawn pulled me closer to him by my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I love you, (y/n). You're amazing," he whispered, still looking into my eyes.

I felt my cheeks turn pink as Shawn let out another chuckle, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Theres that adorable blush I missed seeing for three months," he said laughing.

"You're the only one that makes me blush, Mendes," I laughed, rolling my eyes.

He smirked, "I know."

I shook my head, rolling my eyes, and placed my lips on his once again.
