I looked at my white dress, smoothing it out as I heard the door open.

"Jessica? Are you ready dear? It's time to go." My mom spoke softly as she walked in, admiring me.

"Yeah." I turned around smiling.

"You look so beautiful, I can't believe my little girl is getting married." She whispered, fixing my headpiece, tears brimming her eyes.

"Mommy don't cry." I smiled, holding back tears.

"I wont," She let out a shaky breath, "Let's go."

She took my hand as we walked out of the dressing room, standing behind the closed doors of the church, listening to the piano playing softly in the background.

My mom carefully opened the door and I linked arms with my father, as he walked me down the aisle; the crowd in the church rising.

I glanced up at the altar, my eyes locking with Shawn's for a brief second as he stood there smiling, waiting for me.

I bit my lip as I looked back down at the floor.

We finally reached the altar as my father placed a small kiss on my forehead and hugged me, before I stepped up.

Turning my head, I looked at Shawn once again. This was the first time he saw me in my wedding gown; I wanted to keep it a surprise.

A small sparkle laid in Shawn's brown eyes as he reached forward to take my hand in his.

"You look beautiful." He mouthed as the priest began to speak; everyone sitting back down in their seats.

I smiled as a reply, my cheeks heating up.

"And now, for the vows." The priest said, after giving a short speech about marriage.

The ring-bearer brought up our rings.
Shawn looked at me and winked, the smile never escaping his lips.

"Jessica, I love you. You're my everything and I'm glad I made the choice to spend the rest of my life with you. You're beautiful and amazing. I knew from the moment I laid eyes on you, that you were the one. We've had our ups and downs, but through it all, you've stayed by my side. I vow to take care of you, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." Shawn spoke, tearing up as did I.

"Shawn," I started to speak, taking in a deep breath, holding back my tears, "you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. You make me feel like a better person when I'm with you. You make me smile whenever we're together and even when we're apart. You never fail to make me feel like the prettiest and happiest girl alive. I vow to stay by your side no matter what, until death do us part."

We put the rings on each other's fingers as the priest smiled and nodded, before telling us the six words we had been waiting to hear.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Shawn's smile grew a thousand times bigger as he wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me toward him with such force.

His lips crashed onto mine, and it felt like the first time we had kissed all over again. But this time it meant more than ever before. We were starting a new chapter of our lives together, as Mr. and Mrs. Mendes.
