short drabble wherein: byulyi knew that jin likes her less.

it wasn't that much of a thought at first.

really.

their secret relationship was not that much of a big deal among everyone else- they knew it, they kept it a secret. maybe it was in a way of keeping it private in the industry and in secret among the world for a while.

but really- it wasn't much of a thought.

until the upcoming enlistment came.

byulyi and seokjin had started dating around 2021, and byulyi was the first to confess her feelings, and seokjin- gladly returned it with an open heart adoring her as well.

it wasn't a big deal for byulyi at first knowing that she really cared enough to confess first- but when their relationship started getting deeper, when they've gotten busier, and when every people inside the industry were getting to know it-

insecurity started lingering.

it wasn't because of her face, not because of her appearance- none of it was her problem.

but did she loved him more enough for people to not know he's in a relationship?

she kept seeing the comments about the two of them; he's too nonchalant when it comes to her- are they even friends like what she's claiming?

in the eyes of the netizens, seokjin doesn't give an utter crap about her.

oddly, both of them had talked about this secrecy and avoidance of reactions in front of the camera- but during byulyi's most vulnerable days, she can't seem to decipher why he had to always block out his reactions when it comes to her as if smiling or looking would be a crime.

and now thinking about it, seokjin seemed to be truly casual around her, making her wonder if she was liking him more like what people were trying to perceive.

did he ever took her out on romantic dates like how her friends would brag about- or would they even plan a good future, or talk about sweet things?

but she couldn't see it as well, they were just a year and months in, and they weren't just yet open to those things when they've transitioned from a casual friendship.

she didn't truly care about those, but considering how they haven't talked about their future, how will this end up in his enlistment if it was never serious for him?

it lingered in her head for days.

what will happen on the enlistment- then? will their relationship fade away if he likes her less than what she expects?

now that scares her to death when his enlistment comes.

she never was the type to dwell on this kinds of comments, but oddly- she's listening. she's letting it sink inside her.

seokjin must've been losing interest, huh?

during the filming of their illella music video, her head was drifting somewhere, knowing that his enlistment would soon fall into it.

"yah... you seem silent."

her head was torn away from her intrusive ideas, stopping from looking up the ceiling as she turns to wheein whom was sipping on a cup of coffee. "mwoya, where did that came from?" byulyi whispers softly, lighting grabbing the cup from wheein as the younger one giggled, murmuring.

"unnie, jin-oppa is with the moonbyul crew outside his coffee truck- you should greet him there."

pausing, byulyi then whispers. "really? i thought he's busy." she lifelessly mumbled, returning the coffee to wheein a little dully, tucking her hands inside her shorts' pockets, preparing to greet him.
