Chapter 11: Final Truth and Pregnant?

Finnick POV

I got everything I wanted to hear out of Rudy, but the one missing fact that I haven't got was the one he is failing to hide. He is trying to divert the conversation to other things and he is failing badly in doing so. I could tell he is trying to build himself up to explain what it is. However, learning these facts are important, and knowing all he knows will help  me protect him and help our chances of survival.

Survival and combat related skills are great skills to know in this world. His first two wishes made sense. His last wish though was just for his appearance which was an okay wish, but it wasn't needed. At the end of the day, I am reaping the benefits of it to enjoy my darling's beauty. Another thing that I was glad, relieved, and excited for was not having to sell my body to my love's interaction with a god. I made a note to myself to pray to that god and thank him for his help in bringing Rudy into my life.

Things will turn out well, and snow does not have a way to defy a god's given gift. All I need to worry about is getting my love to survive, to train him until we can't anymore, and help him win the next hunger games. He might face the guilt, anger, depression, and nightmares that I do. Nevertheless, I will be by his side like he always did for me.I know in my heart everything will turn out just fine.

After a while of this conversation, I noticed Rudy was turning pale. I asked him, "What's wrong?"

"Finn, I'm an Idiot!"

"Why?," I replied.

"My third wish, I just remembered all the wording I used. I just told you about me being able to choose my appearance, but I remember the last thing that I had added on to it,"said Rudy.

I started to worry about it and thought it was something serious that could kill him or harm him in any way. "What is it my Love?"

He moved his head slowly towards me. Our green eyes met with another. He begins to say," Its that I wished that I could bear my own children with the one that I love," said Rudy with happiness.

It took me a good while to absorb what he just said, but when I did I was so excited about the possibility of having kids with him. I jumped out of my seat and pulled Rudy into a hug. I laughed and swung him around out of joy. I knew I wouldn't be able to have kids with Rudy due to him being a boy as well. His wish changed everything for us.

While I was swinging him around in my arms with laughter, I said," We can have a family together!"

Rudy was laughing alongside me with tears in his eyes as he answered with, "Yes, Fin. We can have a family together!"

Then it hit me why he went pale earlier. We didn't use protection last night, and my love is planning to join the hunger games that are coming the following year. I looked at Rudy with a pale face and asked," What's the likelihood of you falling pregnant during our first time?"

Rudy looked at me and said,"the likelihood is high Fin. We did it over 5 times last night and not counting the one time this morning."

The news shocked me, but I am happy to start a family with him, but our future children will still be in danger by the over looming shadow of the capitol and president Snow. However, It was too soon to tell if he did or did not get impregnated.

We might still be 14 years old, but if we are old enough to kill then we are old enough to marry and have children. Without thinking, I blurted out," MARRY ME!"

Rudy looked up to me in shock, and took a minute to respond. I was getting nervous for his answer, but he said yes! I kissed him, when he said yes. After the kiss, we split apart unwillingly.
