Chapter 55: After the Battle information

Third POV

    At the end of the battle of the capitol, Katniss was burned by the explosions, but she ends up receiving medical attention at the capitol's hospital. President Coin went on to visit Katniss and tell her the rebels have won the war. She also said that she had saved Snow for Katniss to kill. She went on to complain that Snow was tried and found guilty of his crimes. Before he got arrested, Snow told Katniss that the final assault that killed Prim and the other children was by the order of President Coin and not the capitol's.

    Katniss would later go on to think about things even through her own grief of losing her sister. If the information that Snow gave her was true, then the bombing may have been the result of a plan originally developed by Gale that President Coin used to her advantage. Now, Katniss cannot look at Gale the same way regardless if he was directly or not involved at all in Prim's death.

    Besides these points, Gale almost died during the battle of the capitol, but instead of being killed he was taken away by peacekeepers during his track with Katniss to President Snow's mansion. Gale asked Katniss to shoot him but she could not bring herself to do it.

    Before I can go further with the story, I have to let you know that Gale visits Katniss before Snow's execution to give her a sneath with one arrow to shoot at Snow. Katniss asked him if it was his bomb that killed Prim. Gale is not too sure because a lot of people release bombs but he went on to tell her to just shoot straight for Snow before he leaves her. Their relationship as friends will never be the same again until years later down the road. This point ends the friendship between Gale and Katniss.

    On the other hand, Girl it is war. Your sister knew what she was getting herself into when she agreed to fight as well. There is no one to blame at the end of the day. You can only blame Snow and Coin.

A/n: A very very short chapter today. I a currently working on writing out the last few chapters, but it is taking me some time to do so. The next chapter will be longer so don't worry. I see this chapter as a break so I can think and write more for the last few chapters that I have left to do for this fanfiction. I hope you guys have a nice and enjoyable day.
