Rudy POV

Later that same night, we returned to our quarter that my family was given. Finnick has already been cleared by his doctors so he was able to come with us. We went on to set Caspian down to his own bed where he will sleep peacefully all night long. 

Finnick and I gave Caspian kisses on his forehead before we left his room. We went on to go to the living room and relax with one another on the couch. We also had to talk in private about the meeting that occurred earlier in the meeting hall. 

We both went on to sit in the lounge area with the gray ugly loveseat that faced the front of a t.v. We sat down and went on to cuddle with one another. 

“You know everything that came out of Coin’s mouth today is nothing but bullshit right?,” I said to Finnick to break our silence.

“That’s how Politicians work my love,” said Finnick.

“That’s true, but she i just using Katnis’s words against her. She out played her for now,” I said.

“It's unfortunate, but Katniss got what she wanted for Peeta’s sake. Now, she has to keep her end of her bargain to appease Coin and her people. Katniss is stubborn and willful. She will find a way around it and out play Coin at her own game,” said Finnick. 

“She is and she will. However, it will take some time at her end to be able to achieve her goals. At the end of the day, Coin and Snow are dead people walking,” I said.

“I’m glad you know all this information because I would had follow Coin blindly for the sake of the future of Panem,” said Finnick

“Definitely. I’m not gonna let you be used as a pawn for an asshole or a bitch,” I said. 

“Happy to hear that, my love,” said Finnick.

“I’m not liking District 13 as the days go by. It just feels more like a prison everyday and full with cultist thinking people,” I said.

“All the gray is just killing my spirit and vibes. At least, we are safe here for a long while. Just think of things as protecting our little Shark and for his own sake,” said Finnick.

“This is the safest place and will still be standing after the war. What are you going to do if they ask you to be a soldier for their cause?,” I said. 

“Thinking about it. I would refuse, but they won’t like my answer if I do. However, I will say that I will join, but only on a select few missions of my choice. I will also help prompt the cause by leaking all the information that we gathered during our time in the capitol,” said Finnick.

“Good idea. There is no avoiding being enlisted when they know that you are an amazing fighter, but helping a bit you will be in these peoples’ good graces. I won’t be joining, but I will support you and help however I can,” I said.

“It will benefit us for a while and its a win-win situation even though they won’t know we are the ones using them for our own benefit,” said Finnick.

“True. Just be careful out there Finnick. Fight with everything you got because you will have family waiting for you,” I said.

“I will, my love. I promise you that I will live and try my best not to be a hero. I will fight but I will fight for our family’s future,” said Finnick.

“How about that mission to the capitol that possibly gets you killed,” I said.

“That mission, I will be refusing to do whole heartily if I have an option in doing so. I can’t take on a suicide mission when I have Caspian and you to take care of,” said Finnick.
