My head was spinning. There was a spot within my head that was pulsing through every movements I did. It felt like a bomb doing its countdown, waiting for its time to explode.

Despite of all, here I was, in the driver seat of my purple car, driving.

"Just a little bit more, Ivy", I assured myself as I took a turn at a junction in the driveway towards Daisy's house.

She was so hopeful to have us in her house today, and I somehow felt bad to turn it down.

Maybe others would see me as a people pleaser, since I'd pushed my own limit away, neglecting my own self just for someone else.

I maybe had been shutting most people down, I maybe had lost trusts on people I knew but not close to. But I couldn't do the same to these people who cared about me, who understood me more than my family did, who was there in my ups and downs.

For they always had the soft spot of mine.

After few minutes struggling with the blinding sunlight from the sky in which my sun visor was no help thanks to my cute height, I finally arrived in the lawn of a single storey house built on a private property of Daisy's parent.

Well, we all knew how well off her parent was, my mother also knew. So, it wasn't a surprise for me when I first came here 15 years ago.

I parked my car in between Evelyn's and Faye's, turning off my engine and internally cursing before I climbed down upon spotting the sight of someone I had no issue with but interacting with him alone could be so awkward.

"Ivy.. long time no see", Daisy's boyfriend had his arms crossed as he leaned against his green car for what it looked like he just got here.

"Hi Andy", I greeted normally like my furious heartbeat wasn't a thing. "Been busy."

He nodded understandingly before he shooed me inside.

Thank God.

With a throbbing pain inside my head, I stood in front of the door, detecting from which corner the noises of the girls came from.

"Kitchen", I tugged a handful of my hair, hoping that it could ease the pain as I dragged my feet towards the said direction.

Daisy's parent probably was out. There was no way I hadn't been pulled into a hug by her mother if she's home.

"I'm here", announcing my own arrival with my arms spread widely, the three of them cackled before Faye pulled out a stool by the kitchen counter they sat by for me to sit.

I groaned at the returned pain, resting my head on the counter as soon as I sat down, which a little did concern them.

"You weren't sleeping last night, were you?" Evelyn asked, slightly massaging my shoulder, the easiness almost made me doze off.

The only thing that would've led me in this state was my sleep deprivation. It's quite severe now. It could've led me to feel nausea as well along with the headache.

"Wasn't able to sleep", I corrected with eyes closed. "I did some writing and suddenly it was 4 a.m".

"Go get some sleep in my reading corner", Daisy said, slowly I lifted my head. "The boys haven't arrived yet. Use this time to refresh yourself. You look super awful".

My lips parted with heavy lids hooded my eyes. Sleepiness had slowly engulfed me into its comfortable hug.

"Gosh Ivy, you look like a fool", Faye said, patting my back to break me from my stance.

"We'll wake you up once Jacob arrives with Kevin and Chanhee", Evelyn assured.

Before I knew it, I already slipped down the stool, heaving a truly big sigh as I stood on my feet.
