Business as usual

* kitty is getting ready in her room for a business meeting in Wayne enterprises on behalf of her father, she is doing her hair and make up and having to wear heels and a dress, she's looking at herself in the mirror realizing this isn't her and how uncomfortable she is. She walks downstairs to the garage about to get in her new car when she sees Logan in the garage, she hasn't spoken to him in a few days and they exchange glances and he walks away as she exhales annoyed*// Kitty- you don't have to ignore me * he keeps walking away as Kitty gets in her car annoyed and drives to Wayne enterprises and she walks in greeting the staff and she walks to Bruce's desk and sits down as the paperwork is dropped on the desk and she reads through them glancing at the picture on his desk of Kitty, Dick and Jason as kids with Bruce and Alfred and she picks it up and her heart hurts as she takes a deep breath as the door knocks and lucious fox walks in*//Kitty- hi, I've not seen you in so long// Lucious- you've gotten more beautiful since the last time I've saw you// Kitty- to be fair that was a long time again, how are you? * they talk and catch up about the last few years and Bruce and new gadgets he had made for Batman and then she's caught up to the meeting as they both walk to the meeting room and Kitty sits at the head of the table greeting everyone as she listens to the proposals of the board member and signs off on  some projects and she walks around the building checking on projects before returning to Bruce's office where a man is sitting down waiting she walks to him as the stands*\\ Kitty- I'm so sorry to keep you waiting Mr Crane * they shake hands as Kitty sits at the desk*\\ Crane- it was no bother, it's an honor to meet you miss Wayne Pryde // Kitty- oh it's just Pryde, I'm told you have a proposition for my fathers company to do with physic-pharmaceuticals?// Crane- yes and I bring my findings straight from Arkham asylum * Kitty looks at him and raises an eyebrow* don't be too alarmed miss Pryde as the lead physiatrist I assure you it's all safe// Kitty- please pitch your idea and why our company should invest * for an hour they engage in conversation about creating medicines to cure insanity*\\ Kitty- I'm sorry but I don't think that's possible at least not with the drugs you are describing to me I just don't see no probability of that curing insanity and I'm not sure that the company can fund that// Crane- I'm aware how crazy it sounds// Kitty- it's impossible// Crane- don't you wish that you could cure anxiety and depression and all the other common mental disorders before they become to erratic and it's too late// Kitty- I'm sorry but there is no magical cure to fix those things it's a common reaction to trauma, neglect and abuse and all other things that impact someone// crane- you speak from experience// Kitty- that's correct and that's how I know that this isn't going to see results as much as I wish it did// Crane- humor me for a seccond would you, what is your diagnosis// Kitty- I don't think that's very appropriate, I'm sorry// crane- with the investment we can begin mass production// Kitty- and more drugs to more side effects to more crime to more chaos, im sorry Mr Crane but we won't be investing. I appreciate the thought and time that went into this whole theory and possibly when my father wakes up you can come back but as for me on behalf of Wayne enterprises it's a no * he packs up his papers putting them in a suitcase clearly annoyed*// Crane- I understand and I understand you don't want to take chances when you're father is so ill at the moment. I appreciate you taking the time to hear me out and actually engage in conversation about the matter// Kitty- of course  what you do is valuable and I hope that your  commitment  pays off// Crane- it already has * he stands smiling at himself* you are a very smart gir, I'm glad to have had the chance to chat, hopefully we will have plenty more opportunities * she smiles*// Kitty- me too, good luck in the future and take care // Crane- and you * he walks out of the office as she looks over more paperwork  and then a signs more funding towards children and education and free meals and then she drives to the florists then hospital to see Alfred sleeping in a chair beside Bruce as she frowns her heart hurting as she sees a half asleep Alfred*\\ Kitty- Alfred you neet to go home and rest// Alfred- I just dozed off miss Kitty I'm alright now don't you worry*\\ Kitty- it's my turn, dick will be taking over tonight so just let me do this while you take care and get ready for a shift tonight on watch okay// Alfred- I like to keep busy//Kitty-and I need you on top form * Alfred says goodbye and leaves as Kitty empties out a vase of the dead flowers and puts the fresh flowers in and rearranges them humming to herself and then sits down*\\ Kitty- how you can run that place I'll never know because I just had to meet  someone  saying they can cure mental health and that's just mind blowing * she looks at Bruce* I really need a hug and I just want you here.... I'm really starting to feel down again and I want you to wake up and make it all okay like you always do * hours pass as she falls asleep in the chair as she jumps awake gasping and panting heavy to    alarms as she walks out of the room to see a bed being wheeled in and a man scremaing*\\ Nurse- it's the scarecrows scare gas, no need to worry honey we see enough of these lately * Kitty frowns as the woman walks away and she returns to Bruce and she exhales and looks at her fathers face then calls Tim to come see Bruce and then she texts Logan with no reply and then Tim and Alfred turn up as Kitty goes to her car and drives to the batcave on the computer just feeling overwhelmed and depressed. She suits up and heads out on patrol alone she goes to a location of the docks and hides out watching black masks men hanging around the docks, after a while a ship is being unloaded and she intercepts taking them out and and cuffs them all to the fence as she opens a box with her batterang and she finds weapons and she shakes her head annoyed as she sends a signal to the police for pick up and she waits opening the other boxes as she hears a radio and a man talking, she picks up the radio*\\ black mask- have you picked up the shipment??? Answer me you fuckers, I want to know where my weapons are// Batgirl- I'm sorry, you're shipment has been delayed// Black mask- listen to me baby bats I got a lot of money on those so if you want to play games then you've good as dead you hear me? You'll have a target on your back and a price on your head\\ batgirl- I look forward to it * she throws the radio into the sea as she hears the sirens and then she runs off into the Batmobile and speeds around on patrol and she gets a hit on poison Ivy and finds her breaking into a lab as she follows her as she walks out holding soemthing green in her hand as Kitty recognizes it and she takes Ivy out, and leaves a tracker for the police after cuffing her to the pipes wnr she looks in the gap of the wall to see Superman floating and she smiles*// Superman- I guess I should thank you// Kitty- I'll save you the embarrassment, what do you want me to do with this?// Superman- I don't think I can take it but I'm not sure the big bats will miss an opportunity to keep it * she looks aside and then puts it into her belt*\\ Kitty- better him than Ivy, my guess is she's working for someone// Superman- smart and cute// batgirl- careful because you're gonna regret giving me that kryptonite// Superman- I'll take my chance * he smirks*// Kitty- are you flirting with me Mr Kent * he looks shocked*\\ Superman- now we're at a disadvantage you know my identity but I don't know yours * he walks to her smiling*// Kitty- it's the mask blocking your vision, we come equipped// Superman- like I said smart * she smiles looking down then at him exhaling and shaking her head as she smiles*\\ Superman- care for a fly?// Kitty- tempting as that is I have a job to do * she walks outside as he walks behind her to her* // Superman- I like how hyper focused and committed  you are// Kitty- thanks * she stops at the car and turns to meet his gaze*\\superman- but we'll do it soon // Kitty- call me// Superman- then give me your number * she smirks and blushes then gets in the Batmobile and speeds away smirking to herself*\\ * after a few hours she's feeling rough and she heads to Wayne tower and stands on the roof watching the sun coming up as she stands on the ledge and looks down smiling to herself at the drop then she looks at the view wondering how peaceful the city feels as soon as the sun sets, she feels a lot of sadness and contusion aswell as responsibility. Her worries go to Bruce and the future of the city aswell as Logan and trying to keep down the complicated feelings she has for him aswell as missing Jason, she stands there feeling tears running down her face, she returns to the batcave and goes upstairs to get a some vodka and lemonade and a cup aswell as hee headphones as she drinks while listening to music while on the computer, after awhile Alfred taps her on the shoulder she takes off her headphones*\\ Alfred- how about some brekfast miss Kitty // a kitty- that would be great // Alfred- are you finished here * he looks at the bottle of vodka almost  gone and kitty smiles clearly drunk*\\ Kitty- almost * he sighs and leaves as she finishes the bottle while dancing on the computer then she dances a little as she makes her way upstairs to see Alfred plating up breakfast as she sits at the table and takes off her earphones as Alfred puts breakfast down and they eat*// Alfred- don't you have a busy day today?// Kitty- yeah, what about you?// Alfred- spend the day with master Bruce, do you think it was a good idea to get blatantly drunk before training// Kitty- I wouldn't say drunk  just tipsy and I don't have to be there until 9 and it's just past 6 so I'll be sober, fast healing means fast sobriety * she eats and they talk and kitty showers and puts her hair in a pony tail as she picks out her outfit and she looks in the mirror sober and analyzing her appearance and body then kisses Alfred's cheek and walks out earphones on and drives to the x -mansion listening to her music, she parks her car in the garage and walks into the mansion up the stairs Logan passes her and their eyes meet  as she takes her headphones off he looks her up and down*\\ Logan- late one?// Kitty- Patrol was late// Logan- drinks huh// Kitty- alone in the batcave yes// Logan- drinking alone is never a good sign// Kitty- I could say the same thing to you Logan// Logan- you're underage * her jaw locks as she pulls a face clearly annoyed*// Kitty- that's the problem * she shakes her head and walks away into her room and slams the door and the door knocks as she's cleaning, Kitty opens it*\\ Kurt- let's go we got a mission * she throws her cleaning stuff and closes the door and Kurt grabs her arms and teleports them to the meeting room as they're both briefed on a mission about an office on lockdown as they're flown there and Kurt teleports them in as they sweep the floors one by one Kurt teleports the hostages out as kitty takes out the terrorist as one last floor is cleared  and she hears gun shots as she sprints up*\\ Kitty- *com* SHOTS FIRED!!!! * she hits the men back and breaks one of their arms and slams him into the wall as she turns to see the a woman shot through the stomach  * she falls to her knees and pulls the woman's shirt open trying to access the situation*\| Kitty- *com* floor cleared I need ambulance and paramedics now * she accesses the bullet wound reassuring her and uses the woman's shirt as a compress*// Kitty- hold this tight as you can * she runs to another victim who's shot in the chest a male as she rips off his shirt and sees 2 shots in his lung as she checks his pulse as there is none, she starts chest compressions, the adrenaline is taking over as Kurt pops in with the paramedics who put a mask on the man*\\ Man- keep doing those compressions, he's in cardiac arrest can we get ready for Defibrillator please * kitty keeps up with the chest compressions until she's told to stop and they shock the man, they pause*// Kitty- again! * they do it again and nothing* please come come on come on * the heart beat  returns as they all breathe a sigh of relief  as kitty is having a panic attack as the beds are wheeled in and she follows the man's bed*\\ Kurt- good job//* kitty is still struggling to regulate her breathing as the woman she helped is wheeled out and she grabs kittys arm*\\ Woman- thank you * she's wheeled away as kitty watches the ambulances and then turns to see the swat team leading the men out as she looks at them*\\  tettorist- watch your back mutant* she looks the man in the eye*\\ Kitty- come back when you're big enough * the man lunges at her as she doesn't flinch and he's dragged off*// Kitty- night crawler ready to go soon// Kurt- almost shadowcat * an officer approaches kitty shaking her hand as they talk and kitty and Kurt board the jet  and and forge flies them back * they get back to the mansion talk to the Pr then get up to leave*\\ Pr- oh kitty * she turns* there's a jet outside for you, Nick fury needs you * she looks down and sighs and walks away to find the jet waiting and a man in shield uniform as she gets on and take a seat as she's taken to shield and briefed on a mission led by another agent to get close to a weapons dealer so she's taken to fit a wig and make up and a tight dress she can barley breathe and she's driven to a club with black widow as her "friend" to try to get the attention of the mafia boss, after hours of drinking, dancing and doing  their best to get noticed they don't get anywhere so Kitty sees the mafia boss heading to the bar with his men*|| Kitty- here we go * she walks as sexy as she can to the bar opposite the man and plays with her hair looking around a couple of times until she sees the mafia boss looking at her, she's smiles then looks down pretending to be shy and flirty as their eyes meet again and she narrows  her eyes seductively as he sends a drink over to her and the bar man says it's from the man as she raises a glass to him and drinks it as he uses his finger to beckon her over and she takes the drink and goes over*\\ Ray- I've never seen you here before \\ Kitty- I don't tend to get out much * he kisses her hand*\\ Ray- raymano guiterez at your service little lady// Kitty-Renne Redmond * she looks at him seductively as they walk beck to a table talking drinking and having a good laugh as kitty spins a story that she's a weatherman's assistant that her parent have just moved there and just lies to cover her backstory, the mafia boss is getting very touchy feely with her*\\ Kitty- I've never been with a man in that way * his eyes lights up as he moves her hair to show her collar bone *// ray- it's okay baby, just trust me and we'll take it slow * he kisses kittys neck and across her shoulder she looks at the agent and who nods to her reassuringly as kitty convinces him to go somewhere more private as he takes her hand and leads her outside down an alley and he starts to kiss kittys neck and pushes her into the wall putting his hand up her dress the men he is wi the leave as he undoes his trousers and tries to push kittys head down as she elbows him in the nose and he drops to the floor out cold*\\ Kitty- *com* he's down come get him * a van pulls up as 3 agents grab him and Natasha and Kitty jump in the van and speed off*\\ Natasha- nice work Pryde// Kitty- my skin is crawling just let get me home please I hate doing this work and he knows it * kitty is clearly flustered and upset as she sits in the seat annoyed*\\ Natasha- hey * she puts a hand in kittys shoulder* I know this is very triggering but you've done your job and a lot of people are safe so think of it that way, you done good * she turns away* I'm sorry kitty if it was my mission I wouldn't have left it get that far okay I'm sorry// boss- me too, I'm sorry agent I'll do better to notice the threat of the situation before hand * kitty is still annoyed as she's taken back to shield she changes wipes the make up off and she's flown home and she is exhausted as Logan waits on the steps for her*// Logan- glad you're home safe// Kitty- yeah * she walks away clearly upset as Logan grabs her shoulders*\\ Logan- what is it?// Kitty- I'm surprised you even want to talk to me// Logan- I'm wrong for acting that way but what's wrong, was it a bad day * she looks aside * tell me// Kitty- 2 people got shot and one of the almost died on me and Kurt and I had to give him cpr, I was struggling to hide a panic attack and then I'm thrown right back into undercover agent trying to seduce a mafia boss arms dealer and what does my team do? Let him get handsy despite me giving the signal to step in and I feel sick that they even let it get that far because if it was my mission I wouldn't  have put anyone in that position* he looks at her with sympathy*\\ Logan- let's call the hospital and check if the man's okay shall we? And as for the mission I'm sorry you had to go through that,  it's not nice, if it was me I'd not let you go anywhere near those kinds of missions, are you hurt?// Kitty- no I'm just tired lack of sleep and ready for bed// Logan- let me make some calls * he sits as kitty sits beside him as he calls 2 hospitals and finds out the man's okay as kitty is relieved*\\ Kitty- I thought he was dead Logan he had no pulse and I keep blaming myself \\ Logan- I know it ain't your fault feeling this way so don't blame yourself, you can't be responsible for other peoples reactions now can you? I'll walk you to your door * he stands and puts out a hand she takes it and he helps her up and puts a hand on her waist leading her into the house and he walks her to her room as she's too tired to talk*\\ Kitty- thank you, you always make me feel better * he smiles at her, his eyes crease and she notices how soft and gentle his eyes are and she wraps her arms around him and he hugs her back for a long time then he kisses her head and she looks up at him smiling*\\ Logan- goodnight Kit// Kitty- night Logan * she opens the door as he walks away and they both looks at one another before she goes into her room and closes the door smiling at herself befor stripping off naked and getting into her bed and passing out*\\
