Saturday, Early April

"Last load," Kayce said as he shut the tailgate on his truck.

Oakley was looking at the foreman's cabin, her hands deep in her jacket pockets. They had already done three truckloads up to North Camp and this was the last one of all their things. Kayce and Oakley didn't have much, but they were bringing some furniture with them and a few little items along with all their personal ones.

She felt Kayce wrap his arms around her from behind, his lips pressing against her ear. They both looked at the cabin, a flood of memories passing before them. Tate was with the wranglers up at North Camp, helping unload.

"I'll actually miss it," Oakley said, leaning her head against Kayce's.

"Yeah," Kayce sighed. "But Tate gets his own room now."

Oakley sent Kayce a playful glare.

"You do get that we're moving for other things besides trying to have a baby, right?" Oakley laughed.

"I know," Kayce smirked. "But it's been fun trying."

"Well, we ain't doing something right," Oakley sighed. "I started my period yesterday."

Kayce sighed, and pulled Oakley back into his chest, hugging her tight.

"Eventually," Kayce promised, kissing her cheek before letting her go.

They made their way up to North Camp, Oakley vowing to find a new name for their home since it wasn't the same old broken-down shack, she had first seen last year. They had lucked out and got a mini break in the weather last week. It gave them enough time to put some gravel down to at least start the road out to their place.

Last week Oakley had gone into town and purchased a new bed for her and Kayce, letting Tate take their old bed in his room. After that, they would need some more furniture, but they had enough to at least move in.

"You need us for this load too?" Ryan asked Kayce as they pulled up.

"Nah, there ain't much in this one," Kayce thanked the others as Oakley walked up the porch and into the house.

"Tate?" She called.

He walked out of his room downstairs.

"Oakley!" He was smiling. "Come look at my bed!"

She followed him back and saw the wranglers had put the bed together, the mattress, and everything except the sheets. Tate jumped onto the bed, arms, and legs out, sighing as he settled back.

"I take it you like it?" Oakley smiled.

"I love it," Tate looked up at her.

"Good," Oakley nodded, glancing around, and getting a nostalgic feeling in her gut. "But if you ever want to climb in with me in the big bed...you still can."

"Yeah?" Tate also had relief behind his eyes.

"Anytime," Oakley smiled at him. "Come on, let's get the last load in and then we can start unpacking everything else."

When Oakley opened the front door, Kayce was walking up with two boxes in his hands. She and Tate stepped to the side as he walked in and sat them on the couch.

"Dad! Come look!" Tate ran back into his room.

Kayce glanced at Oakley who just laughed and walked outside. She almost got to the truck when she heard tired on the gravel and then saw Beth's car making its way up to the house. Oakley walked up when Beth pulled off the road and got out.
