You heard low murmuring coming from one of the boys' rooms and followed the quiet whispers to Wooyoung's room where seven vampires were huddled around his bed.
"What's going on?"
They all turned to look at you with wide eyes.
"I am afraid Wooyoung has come down with something." Seonghwa told you regretfully.
"What? You mean he's... sick?"
"I am afraid so."
"But vampires don't get sick. Right?"
"Well, vampires sometimes have this thing where they turn into a bat and can't turn back." Yunho explained.
"I call it bat brain." Mingi declared proudly.
You don't respond to him and rush over to the group, pushing past them to find Wooyoung curled up on his bed in bat form.
"Poor guy." You murmured. "How long does it last?"
"It varies." Yeosang stated.
You stared down at the little bat, his round, sparkly eyes gazing up at you.
"I'll take care of him." You volunteered.
"What?" The boys chorused, more than likely shocked that you would offer to do such a kindness for Wooyoung of all people.
"Yeah. I'll take care of him until he turns back."
"It's not like when humans get sick." Hongjoong told you.
"Yeah. He doesn't need to be taken care of." San added. "Just wait until it passes."
"Nonsense." You waved him off. "I want to do this. Plus, look at him."
Wooyoung stretched his wings out, his two tiny claws reaching for you.
"Look." You cooed. "He wants me to take care of him."
"Of course he does." Jongho muttered under his breath.
"I can do that too, Y/n!" San piped up, transforming into his bat form, mimicking his fellow vampire.
You paid him no mind and picked Wooyoung up off his bed.
"It's not the same when you do it." You told San. "Plus, Wooyoung actually needs my attention."
San's small bat form slumped over in defeat. Unbeknownst to you, Wooyoung stuck his tongue out at San over your shoulder.
The boys glared jealously at Wooyoung as you carried him out of the room.
San launched off the bed angrily, preparing to fly after him only to be grabbed by Hongjoong.
"Doing that will only make things worse."

You sat in the living room, snacking on a banana while Wooyoung laid in your lap swaddled in a blanket. A small whine from the bat emitted from the fluffy covering, catching your attention.
"Aww." You cooed. "Do you want some?"
He gave a tiny nod.
"Here you go."
You held the half-eaten banana out, letting him get a big bite, his cheeks full of the fruit. He then began smacking away, his little tongue sticking out as he tried to mush the fruit up.
The sight was unbearably endearing and you couldn't help but pull your phone out to record him, momentarily forgetting he was an actual person and not an adorable little bat.

Unbeknownst to you, Wooyoung was turning up his charms trying to be as adorable as possible to receive more of your attention and affection. If he was gonna be stuck in that form for a while, he might as well make the most of it and milk it for all it's worth.
