9 : Unexpected Guest - Alk

"Hello , general Alkaios !" a finder said as he waved at Alk .
Alk pretended to not notice them . He has done the same to anyone who tried to talk to him . Alk was in no mood for fake smiling nor talking with anyone . It was already midnight and all he wanted was to sleep in his comfortable bed . He was so tired that he could collapse on the marble floor in an instant . The pavillion was full of people and music was playing loudly . That did not help very well .
I bet the whole city cannot sleep because of us , Alk thought almost laughing At least I will not be the only one who wants to sleep but can't .
He stared across the pavillion to see if Iro was anywhere near to stop him from walking away from the party . Alk did not see her around so he walked out of the pavillion into the nearby garden .

The moonlight was the only source of light . A gentle wind was making the trees' leaves rustle . A little bench was standing right under a tree . Alk sat on it . He concentrated on the sound the leaves did as he looked at Mt. Othrys in the distance . It stood proudly , taller than any house in the city , taller than any mountain in Greece . Mt. Olympus was destroyed centuries ago along with any god , after the Titan War ended . Alk remembered that very clearly from the books he read .
Wonder how is up there , he thought .
Alk suddenly felt a chill on his back as he heard the grass rustle from the pavillion's direction . A silhouette started walking closer to Alk . He could not distinguish any of the human's features because of the low light .
Maybe it is some random drunk person from the party . Hope they will not observe me in this darkness , he thought .
The silhouette kept getting closer and closer to Alk . He started getting suspicious and put his hand on the dagger he hid in a secret pocket for any emergencies .
Suddenly the silhouette stopped and turned to Alk's direction . Before doing anything , it speeded at Alk . He heard the familiar sound of a sword getting out of its sheath . A bronze sword was pointed at Alk's neck . Now that the human got closer , he recognized the light hair , emerald eyes and annoying smirk .
It's you ... the child of Kronos , Alk thought without saying .
"We meet again , Alkaios .." the demititan said grinning .
Alk got his dagger out of his secret pocket , preparing to strike .
"I suggest putting that away if you want to live another day " the child of Kronos said frowing .
"And how do you plan on killing me if I will not put it away ?" Alk said , the corners of his mouth rising in a smirk .
He saw the demititan smile . Alk felt his body becoming heavier . He tried to move but ended up moving very slow . The demititan laughed "Did you forget my father is the titan of time ?"
"Then why did you not use this power at the tournament then , dumbass ? Oh wait , let me guess ! Why could you lose against a kid " Alk said , suprised that he could move his mouth normaly .
The son of Kronos sighed annoyed "This is not about the tournament . I do not care anymore about that stupid spot you took . I will have a greater fate decided rather than staying in a base most of the time . And by the way , I have heard you became a general . Great job , Alk "
"If it's not about the tournament , then why are you here death threating me ? " Alk asked almost screaming in anger .
"Let's say I am here to get revenge on someone .."
Alk opened his mouth to say something but the son of Kronos interrupted him "And that someone is not you but your sister , Iro"
Alk raised an eyebrow "What does a narcissist like you have to do with my sister ?"
Alk saw the demititan clench his teeth in rage "None of your damn bussines "
Alk chuckled "Why did you became so fired up ?"
The son of Kronos pointed his sword at Alk's neck again . Alk smirked "All you do just proves how pathetic and easy to anger you are "
The demititan clenched his teeth again . Alk felt his body becaming lighter as the son of Kronos was losing concentration on his power due to his increased anger .
All goes as planed , Alk thought still smirking .
To his surprise , the son of Kronos pressed his sword's tip into Alk's neck . Blood started dripping on the sword and Alk's clothes .
"If you will not shut up , I will cut your troath !" he threatened pushing his sword deeper .
Alk felt on the peak of suffocating .
To Alk's luck , some voices were screaming behind them . An arrow was fired and hit the arm the demititan was holding the sword with . He lowered his sword and got the arrow out of his arm .
"ATTACKING A GENERAL IS PAID WITH PRISON !" one of the voices behind them said "SURRENDER OR DIE "
The son of Kronos laughed " Do you even know who I am ? I am Aemillius , the legendary son of Kronos !"
Alk heard another voice chuckle "Right , you were the one Alkaios defeated at the tournament years ago ! Did you came here to get revenge on our fellow general ? Again , surrender or die"
Alk heard someone aiming with a bow . He realised he can move his body normaly . The son of Kronos lost all his concentration on his power .
"You will never get me !" Aemillius said as he tried to ran away .
Alk quickly ran after him and stabbed him in the back with his dagger . Aemillius dropped to the ground .
"I see you are not so powerful now !" Alk said smiling even with the aching pain in his troath . He put his boot on Aemillius' back for him to not try to crawl away . Alk turned his head to the people who came to save him "Thank you for the help . You can take him to the prison now "
"Yes , general !" the finders said in unison . They walked to injured demititan and took him away .

Alk walked straight back to the base . Blood was still dripping from his neck .
I swear the first place I am going to is the infirmary ! , Alk thought while entering the base .
After he got some treatment and a bandage , Alk walked to the elevator and went to the last floor . He walked to his room and opened the door .
Without any thought , he threw himself in the bed and fell asleep right after he closed his eyes .
