The Resistence's army cheered as the finders retreated from their courtyard in a fast pace . Phedora was took out from her thought bubble when the closest demigods grabbed her by the arms and legs and carried her in the air . It was a weird feeling to be lifted like that and carried back to the base , the cheers of demigods all around her .
She looked around the crowd , turning her head . Athena was again not around .***
They only let Phedora down when they entered the base . Apparently everyone would be at the Artifacts' Chamber in half an hour . But until then everyone could go back to their rooms and get some clean clothing , given that they just got back from a battle .
Phedora just wanted to go back to her room that she missed so much . Back to her comfortable bed and back to her arranged weapons . But when the whole base knows about you being the Chosen Demigod you have to expect everyone to stop you in the middle of the halls to give them a high-five or a fist bump .***
When she finally got to her room she sighed deeply . Finally some silence . She smiled to herself .
Then the room's door slammed shut at her back , sending a jolt into Phedora . She quickly turned to see Petros leaning on her door with a frown .
"When did you get here ?" Phedora asked in a higher tone than she expected .
Petros folded his arms "Do not act dumb ." he took a pause before saying ,"I could have killed that general ! Why did you stop me ?" . Phedora could hear the force in his voice . He feels rage .
"Because ..." Phedora looked to the floor of her room .
"Because what ?" Petros asked .
Phedora remained silent .
Petros pinched the bridge of his nose "You , the Chosen Demigod allied with a general of the Finders ... You know that means treason , right ?"
Phedora frowned "I did not ally with him !"
"Then what did you do ? Just share battle plans ?" Petros raised an eyebrow .
Phedora clenched her fists "No ! I actually have no clue how this all stared ... but is it that weird for us to just not want to kill eachother ?"
The child of Hecate suddenly raised both his eyebrows , as if realizing something that exact moment that Phedora could not .
It took some silent seconds before Petros sighed "Fine , you do what you want then ... and I will not tell anyone about your... friend ." then he turned to the doorway , grabbing the doorknob .
Well that was easier than I expected .
"But you know you have , in the end , to chose between the Resistence and your silly friendship ." Petros said before leaving .
Phedora was left in the middle of her room , stubborn to move . He is right ..but maybe there is a way that I do not have to chose .***
"We all grouped here to announce and celebrate the final appearance of The Demigod of The Prophecy !" the High Priest raised Phedora's hand high in the air .
The whole room cheered again , this time even louder than on the battlefield .
The whole Resistence army stood around the big circular room full of altars .
"And who also brought with her the first awakened god , Athena !"
The goddess appeared at Phedora's back . Or at least that could explain the light and heat she felt from behind her .
The crowd cheered again . When I thought they could not get any more louder ...
"So , Phedora , could you like to tell us how you achieved this ?"
The crowd went silent , eager to hear what Phedora was about to say . Shit .
"The journey I had through the Underworld was not at all easy , but I had great friends that helped me along the way . I invite them here alongside me . They deserve the same credit for the awakening of Athena as me ." Phedora smiled , searching with her eyes around the crowd for her friends .
In the end , the three demigods showed up beside Phedora while the crowd cheered for them . Don't their throats hurt ?
Petros seemed to be more dragged to the center of the room by Charis and Sot than walking there by his own will . It's either because he does not want attention on him or because he despises me .. which I understand .
All four demigods began to speak about their mission through the Underworld to the exited crowd of demigods around them .
