          Alk

The son of Hyperion watched in true horror how the tall figure approached them . He had only heard of Typhon in stories and books that he read in the Finders' library . Tall enough that his head touched the sky . One hundred snake heads attached to his body that spit fire and wings with which he could fly away with ease . The most feared of all monsters .
Alk gazed with disbelief at his army as they started to cheer loudly . He looked between the finders for any sign of fear of the monster . But he was the only one who was scared . They think Typhon got sent to aid us in battle . But he knew that Kronos would never waste Typhon for a battle between mortals . Typhon was too powerful , too valuable to Kronos . He was the sole reason the Titans had won the Titan War afterall . The Titan Lord had sent Typhon for a bigger plan . And the sense of dread in Alk's gut told him it was not a great plan .
He glanced back to the spot next to him where he remembered he pushed his half-sister into . Iro was not cheering with the others . She was instead scowling deeply at the approaching monster . And when their eyes met , Alk realised that his own expression was mirrored in hers . A silent look of understanding passed between the two half-siblings . Iro suspects something is wrong too ..
They both speeded back to the army , pushing through the cheering fighters . Just as Alk made his way through the ranks he heard the eldest general shout , his voice getting through the ranks to everyone's ears .
"The Great Titan Lord had sent us aid in battle !"
Alk's frown deepened . No , he did not . Why can you not see that ? He turned his head in the direction he had heard the general's voice from . Now that the rush of his power left him , the rain fell onto his head and clothes , soaking him wet . The ground trembled harder and harder beneath his feet as Typhon stepped closer to the battlefield , passing the Finder's base .
Before the boy opened his mouth to protest against the eldest general's words , the monster took a step closer , crunching the part of the Finder's army Alk was looking at under his foot . The army's cheers died all at once .

          Iro

The co-general stared in the distance , frozen on spot , at the seemingly gore left behind of the fighters after Typhon crunched them on the ground . She could not see much , for she was too far away and the darkness of the night and the pouring rain obscured her vision . But she felt a faint metallic scent in the air and knew what must have happened .
It took her some seconds to recover from the shock before she realised that the army started running away quickly . Iro took no time and ran alongside them .
I knew something must have been wrong ... Did Kronos really send Typhon to kill us all , at the same time knowing very well that some of us are his demititan children ? Iro frowned as she ran .
Everyone seemed to momentarily forget about the fight with the Resistence , all running to the side of the battlefield . Which could seem as a sign of cowardice but in this situation no one would care about their pride .
Iro took a glance to the side at the Resistence's army as she ran . They seemed to be staying in place , not moving away at the sight of Typhon . Are they trying to be brave or are they just stupid ?
Then she heard a distant shout from one of the Resistence . Too far away to be heard properly by anyone of the Finders but loud enough to know that it happened . The daughter of Hyperion watched as the Resistence's archers started shooting arrows towards Typhon . And as quick as that , the arrows got swallowed by fire , as the monster's snake heads hissed loud enough to be heard all across the battlefield .

          Phedora

The daughter of Zeus gazed in terror as Typhon crunched some finders beneath his feet , leaving a pool of blood and gore behind . So he was not here to aid them afterall ...
"Phedora .. what do we do now ?" Charis , who was still next to Phedora , asked . She heard the tremour in her friend's voice .
Phedora thought of any strategy they could apply . But they were never trained to face Typhon on their own . Any strategy they had already made could not work on him . They could never defeat Typhon . Even after all the days they had spent in the Resistence's library making strategies and overseeing the battle , it seemed that they left a gap in their plans .
The girl stood silent , panic once again rushing through her . She looked with despair at the massive sillhouette of Typhon approaching them . She felt Charis' grip on her shoulder and heard the way she kept calling her name , as if to try to wake her from a trance . But Phedora was thinking , analysing the scene , trying to make up a plan . But she was not a good strategist . Almost all of their strategy was made by Athena .
"Phedora.. !" another voice snapped her out of her thoughts , almost making her flinch . She turned to see Petros speeding towards her and Charis , his white mask hanging loosely on the top of his head . He looked out of breath . The boy came to stand next to Phedora . He took a moment to catch his breath "There is only one way that you could possibly defeat Typhon ..."
Phedora gazed at him with a small smile , hope sparkling clear in her eyes "There is ?"
"Yes ..." Petros took in another deep breath "...The old books speak of an old assumption about Typhon ..  that he could be defeated only using Zeus' lightning bolts , given that they are the most powerful weapons ..." Phedora's smile dropped as Petros continued to speak "...If you could only create a lightning large and powerful enough and strike Typhon with it ... then maybe it could paralyze him for enough time to take a hit at him..."
"Petros...I do not think I can acomplish that  anymore ..." Phedora spoke , her eyes darting back to the monster that approached them with big steps .
"Why not ?" the son of Hecate asked .
"..If Zeus himself did not manage to defeat Typhon with his lightning then why would I ?" And besides... what if I hurt someone that I care about again ?
Petros sighed "You forget that Zeus had his limbs taken by Typhon . You still have all your limbs and the blessing of many gods so why not try ?"
"I do not know..." Phedora scowled at the Typhon's figure .
Then , to Phedora's surprise , Petros moved and grabbed both her shoulders tightly "You have to at least try ! This is our last hope !" he stared right into her eyes and Phedora noticed the desperation in them . It was not always that Petros was this expressive "All this work could have been for nothing ! Athena and the allience are probably still fighting so they will not be joining us very soon . If it is not you that can stop Typhon then who else ?"
Phedora took a look behind Petros at the sillhouette of the monster . Her gaze shifted to the pool of blood and gore left behind it , surpressing a shiver . If we do not try to at least slow him down then he will hurt others ... And what if he gets to the city ? "Fine... I will do it . I will try to summon a lightning bolt again ..."
Petros' grip on her shoulders loosened , letting his hands fall back to his side "You probably will not have enough energy to summon such a powerful  lightning and recreate that wind shield you did . So we will make sure to buy you enough time by attacking him with our archers . I will stick close to cover for you if there is any threat ." he turned his gaze to Charis . Phedora watched as they exchanged a simple nod and her friend went away back into the army ranks .
The son of Hecate moved to stand behind Phedora , facing the army "Archers , take position for attack ! Get ready to fire at Typhon as high as you can ! Make sure he will not get any closer to us ! We have to slow him down !" he shouted loud enough to be heard by the whole army .
In no time arrows started shooting towards Typhon , flying above Phedora's head all at once . I suppose I should get started too...
