The Ancient Prophecy

16 : Weekly reports - Alk

         Alk was reading the weekly reports from the co-generals . Around ten stacks of fully written papers . From what he read untill then , everything was alright around the city . No crimes comitted . Not even a suspicious activity observed .
        The aching pain in his head started to dissipate slowly since morning . It was already after-noon and he did not even manage to read half of the reports . The generals' weekly meeting was getting closer . Every week , the generals could meet in a large council room at the nineteenth floor to discuss any important issues from the city or even from the base based on the weekly reports and what they see themselves . All the issues would be solved within one month .
       Alk sighed then took another paper from one of the stacks .
       Before he managed to read anything from it , the office's door opened fastly and someone entered the office . It was Iro , a paper in her hand . She walked right in front of Alk's desk and slammed the paper on it .
"Did you not do the weekly report ?" Alk asked raising a brow at her .
"I did , but this is very recent . I observed this on my morning patrol today." Iro said . She used a serious tone , which made Alk wonder what she observed so important .
       He took the paper and read it .
"A suspicious activity observed at Hecate's temple this morning . Purple smoke swirling everywhere , three figures inside the temple .
When I came to check , there were only two girls , a blonde and a brunette dressed in dark clothes . They said they are Hecate's priestesses and that they have done a complicated ritual . I do not believe they said the truth and it did not explain the third figure either."
Alk frowed at the paper .
Hecate's temple ? , he frowed harder I do not think this is a coincidence , Alk looked up at Iro "I will send some finders to investigate the temple later this after-noon . Do you by any chance suspect the Resistence's doing ?"
Iro shrugged "It may be possible to be their doing . But why Hecate's temple though ?"
      Alk leaned back in his chair , crossing his arms and sighed "Think logically , Hecate was also considered a goddess and one of her domains is necromancy . The Resistence wants to awake the gods , so.."
Iro nodded slowly , starting to understand what he was impllying "So they invoked Hecate herself to request her help."
"Exactly."
Iro scowled "But what if she agreed to help them ? Does that not mean we are one step behind ?"
      A smirk appeared on Alk's face "I will discuss this issue at the weekly meeting . I will request an attack on the Resistence's base."
