"I'll be back early Monday morning. If you need anything, call me okay?" Haneul, Hyunji's mom, spoke as she stood by the front door.
"I will. It's only a little over a day. I'll be fine." Hyunji reassured her, barely getting her outside.
"It's just the first time leaving you alone. Do you want me to call your cousin-"
"I'm fine, I'm seventeen. I'll call you and answer all of your texts."
"Okay, I should get going so I have time to settle in the hotel."
"I'll be fine. I love you."
Hyunji hugged her mom tightly as Hanuel kissed her cheek. Haneul smiled and walked out the door, shutting it behind her.
"Remember to turn on the security system and lock the doors!" Her mom yelled outside.
"I will." Hyunji rolled her eyes.

Muttering the lyrics to the music that played, Hyunji began plating their dinner. The kimchi fried rice she made smelled delectable, she wasn't sure if she'd be able to wait for Jungkook. Placing the baked chicken on the side as she heard a knock on the door startling her as she looked up. Gesturing him to come inside. Noticing the backpack slung over his shoulder.
"I don't know why you're pretending to knock." She giggled.
"Sorry. How are you babygirl?" Jungkook asked, walking over to the counter and watching as she placed a fried egg on top of the rice.
"I'm fine. You?"
"Good. Mm, this smells delicious Ji."
Hyunji sprinkled a few sesame seeds on top along with a few garnishes before she took both plates to the table. Walking to the kitchen she grabbed two glasses from the cabinet filling them halfway with ice.
"Iced tea?" She glanced at Jungkook.
"Yes please." He replied.
Hyunji filled the glass before taking them both to the table, Jungkook following behind her. He pulled her chair out for her to sit in and slid it back in once she sat, kissing her forehead before sitting next to her.
"This is really nice, thank you." He smiled, admiring her dish.
"I'm glad you like it." Hyunji watched as he shoved a mouthful in.
"Mmm, this is really good. You're a great cook. You're showing off all your skills."
"What skills?"
"Your wife material skills. You work, cook, take care of Jay, and clean. Pretty busy if you ask me."
"Oh so that makes me wife material."
"Of course!"
They continued eating and Jungkook's plate slowly became empty. He did notice she was being more quiet than usual, her cheeks were a little flushed while she looked at her plate.
"Are you okay?" Jungkook touched her hand.
"Yeah." She nodded.
"I know you better than that. I'm pretty nervous too."
Hearing that made her sigh in relief.
"I've been freaking out all afternoon."
"Don't be anxious. We don't have to do anything, you can back out. But if you do want it, don't overthink it. It's supposed to be enjoyable, don't stress yourself out over it." He held her hand, his thumb gently rubbing the back of hers.
