Joowon sat on the sofa watching TV as Aruem walked by with a laundry basket. He took note of his wife's face, she was frowning but there was also a hint of disgust.
"What's wrong? You're frowning." He paused the TV.
Aruem put the basket down on the couch as she sat next to him.
"Well, I was thinking about how Koo isn't our little boy anymore. He's officially an adult, and he's got a girlfriend and a life of his own. But the real issue is I walked by his room and could hear them. The worst was hearing Jungkook moaning her name. That's something a parent should never have to experience." Areum cringed thinking about it again.
"Oh good lord. I thought I was okay with him having sex." Joowon sighed.
"Me too. Well, I am as long as I don't know about it."
"I'll talk to him."
"Don't embarrass the boy."
"I won't! If he's gonna get himself fucked he needs to at least keep it down."

Jungkook ruffled his hair with his towel as he left the bathroom. He was looking forward to setting up his new laptop, but first he needed another piece of cake.
He had almost made it past his father and up the stairs before his dad called his name. Jungkook slowly turned around facing his father.
"We need to talk about something real quick." Joowon spoke.
"Okay?" Jungkook feared the worst.
"How do I say this, uh- me and your mom have been pretty chill about you having a girlfriend and all. We don't give a fuck what you do behind closed doors under the sheets, but we sure as hell don't wanna hear it."
"WHAT!?" Jungkook's entire face flushed red.
He nearly dropped his cake. How mortifying. The only way out of this situation was to shift the blame.
"I told Hyunji to-" Jungkook started, but his father only laughed.
"Yeah right. Your poor mother walked by your door and heard you. Well, unless Hyunji moans her own name and sounds like a guy which would be pretty weird." Joowon kept a straight face as he caught his son in a lie. "Kook, just make sure you use protection every time."
"Mhm."
Jungkook was dumbfounded as he just stared forward at his father. The awkwardness in the air was too much.
"You're free to go." Joowon said and Jungkook quickly scurried up the stairs.
______________
Taking one last look at the selfie Hyunji had taken for her boyfriend she pressed send. It was her last--first day of highschool and somehow she was already dreading her departure from her house. Hyunji walked down the stairs with her bookbag in hand. As soon as Jay saw the bag he laid his head on his paws and sighed loudly. He knew this marked the start of Hyunji being gone most of the day.
Sunho and Hanuel rushed around the kitchen while talking about an upcoming fundraiser-- no, staff meeting, Hyunji lost track at this point.
"Hyunji, c'mon you're going to make us late!" Her mother nagged.
They told her that they would be leaving at seven fifthteen and it was barely seven. Hyunji walked over to Jay and petted his head bidding him goodbye.
Her stomach was in knots as she sat in the car. One thing different about this school year was Hyunji would be going in alone. No one was at her side to lean on. Things between her and Yuri would never be the same. Even if she acted like everything was fine, the line of trust was broken and it could never be repaired. Hyunji wanted nothing more than to gain a few friends, or at least one.
As the school was in sight Hyunji took a deep breath, her palms sweating as she cracked her knuckles. Her phone vibrated in her pocket as she looked down seeing a text from Jungkook.
Kook: Morning babygirl 😘
Kook: I know you'll have a good first day 💗 I love you
Kook: Make sure you let any crusty boys know you're mine 😉
Kook: I love you
Hyunji's lips curved into a smile as she read his texts, he always knew when and what to say. Even if he wasn't with her he was still thinking about her and offering some words to ease her anxiety. She quickly responded to his text as her parents drove through the school parking lot to drop her off.

The bell rang as everyone in class quickly packed up their belongings. So far all of Hyunji's teachers seemed nice, and some were teachers from the previous year. But now the biggest challenge of all was coming. Lunch. The first few days were crucial, it decided where every clique sat.
Hyunji had spoken to a girl in her creative writing class and they seemed to have really clicked. Hyunji scanned the cafeteria looking for the familiar face, the loud chatter of all the students becoming overwhelming. She took a deep breath as her cheeks began to redden. The longer she stood there the more she thought people were looking at her.
"Hyunji!"
Her head turned as she heard her name being called. Ryujin waved her hand, a friendly smile on her face while she sat at one of the tables.
Hyunji audibly sighed in relief as she strided over to the table, sitting down next to Ryujin, seeing a few new faces at the table. Ryujin introduced Hyunji to her friends as Hyunji did her best to engage in conversation. Hyunji knew if she wanted to widen out and make some new friends she had to work on her shyness.
While Hyunji ate her lunch and mingled with Ryujin she noticed Yuri sitting at a different table across the room. Yuri's face looked anything but pleasant. They had spoken briefly in the morning and departed ways after. It seemed like Yuri was already jealous over Hyunji meeting new people. Hyunji looked up and made eye contact with Yuri before they both turned away.
Hyunji's phone vibrated on the table and she quickly picked it up, seeing it was her boyfriend. Jungkook had one day left before going back to school, so he'd spend his extra day texting her every hour.
"So who are you texting?" Ryujin bumped Hyunjis shoulder, a smirk on her face.
"My boyfriend." Hyunji said as she replied to him.
"C'mon show me a picture, tell me all about him, you should know the drill."
Hyunji brought up a selfie of them on the beach together and showed it to Ryujin who felt the need to show everyone at the table.
They all nodded their heads in approval.
"I thought I was gonna have to lie to you and tell you he was cute when he wasn't. But he's very attractive, Hyunji." Ryujin spoke.
"Oh, I know he is." Hyunji grinned.
_____________
"Ok, Ji, so we're like NEVER having sex at my house again!" Jungkook started, staring at his screen as he walked to his bedroom.
"Shit, your parents heard?" Hyunji put her phone on her dresser as she changed out of her uniform.
"My mom. So my dad lectured me on how basically he doesn't wanna hear us fucking. But, NOW HE THINKS I'M A SUB!"
"Oh my god. Your mom probably thinks I tied you to the bed!"
"You did tie me to the bed-"
"I told you to be quiet, Jungkook. I don't even know why I'm surprised." Hyunji rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, yeah. Let's talk about something else. How was your first day?" Jungkook asked.
