Twenty Six

A distant bark startled Jungkook from his sleep, groggily blinking as he felt the bed next to him, her presence missing. Jungkook sat up and forced himself to stand, his body felt heavier than usual and he put on his underwear and shorts. He glanced out her window confirming no cars were on the driveway before he made his way down the stairs. The familiar baritone voice echoing from the kitchen, a few laughs following.

"Ji, you have to!"

Jungkook stepped into the kitchen squinting his eyes as the sun blared through the backdoor.

"Good afternoon, sleeping beauty." Taehyung sarcastically said.

Yawning as Jungkook rubbed his eyes he scratched his back, still delirious and waking up.

"How long was I asleep?" Jungkook questioned.

"Less than an hour, baby." Hyunji replied.

Jungkook put his arm around Hyunji and kissed her cheek.

"Hyunji doesn't want to go to the beach house with us." Taehyung said to Jungkook.

"I know." Jungkook spoke before opening the fridge. "If she stays I was going to stay too-"

"What!?!?"

"Jungkook, don't stay because of me." She turned and looked at him.

"It's fine. It's your decision Hyunji, I'm not going to try and change your mind-"

"Well I am." Taehyung budded in. "We'll drive separate cars and you and Yuri won't be together and who knows maybe you guys can work it out."

"It's mostly Jay, My mom works all day long so no one will be there to take care of him."

"Fuck. . . . Just bring him too and the four of us will go in my car." Taehyung grumbled, thinking about all the fur that will be on his seat. "There's a big backyard and a pool. As long as you pick up his crap my parents won't give a shit."

"And Jungkook will vacuum your car." Hyunji suggested.

"Exactly!" Taehyung grinned, "Yuri won't give you a problem I promise. It'll be a little honey moon for you two. My dad has two family dinners we'll be going to so you guys will get some alone time- well, minus Jimin and Jay."

"Your mom is okay with it?" Jungkook looked at Hyunji.

"I mentioned that I probably wouldn't be able to go. But I'll ask her when she gets home."

"Well, I've done my job. I'm going on a date with Eunji and if you're not early you're late, so I have to run." Taehyung bragged with a beaming smile.

"Have fun Tae."

"Not too much though."

"Like you two didn't have fun before I got here. You couldn't bear to put on a shirt and cover up your little love bites." He smirked looking at Jungkook.

"You're just hoping you come home with hickeys too."

"Maybe I am."

Hyunji laid on the couch across from her mother as they watched a rather boring movie, her mother turning off the previous movie after deeming it "inappropriate and cursing too much". Her mind wandered as she stared at the screen, barely paying attention to the dialogue. As a commercial came on Hyunji took her opportunity to bring up the mini vacation.

"So Tae and them are going to their beach house for a few days next week." Hyunji started.

"Mhm." Her mom nodded.
