The sun began to shine through the curtains, slowly waking Hyunji up. She could barely open her eyes and felt more tired than when she went to bed. The clock read 7:30 and Hyunji knew she had to get up now or she'd fall back asleep. Standing up and out of bed Jay quickly rose to his feet, making eye contact with her as he wagged his tail.

Hyunji pulled the blankets over her boyfriend who was soundly sleeping. He looked so angelic, his hair was messy yet perfectly placed, his eyes softly closed and his lips parted. She couldn't help but smile as she left the room, trying to be quiet.

The rest of the house was dead silent as Hyunji tip-toed down the stairs. When she went into the backyard and was greeted with the sight of her cousin. With a sharp exhale, Hyunji recalled the previous night's little disagreement. Thinking about the whole situation already had her rather irritated again.

"Hyunji, come here." Eunji said, sitting in a lawn chair with a big mug of coffee in her hand.

After their argument it left Eunji regretting what she was saying, and with good reason. She had almost instantly felt remorseful, but Hyunji avoided her the rest of the evening and then disappeared off to her room with Jungkook. The tension it created sucked.

Hyunji walked over and sat in the chair next to her, waiting to see what Eunji had to say.

"Look, I'm sorry about last night. I was a bitch." Eunji started.

Sure was. Hyunji thought.

"Jungkook is your boyfriend and I need to respect that, and him." Eunji spoke, "I'm sorry for what I said. I'm just trying to protect you. You know you're like my little sister Ji."

It was nice to have Eunji always watching her back, but sometimes Eunji also needed to stay in her lane. Hyunji wasn't a little girl that needed protection, she could make her own choices about who to be with.

"I appreciate you looking out for me, but you don't have to worry about Jungkook." Hyunji replied.

"Hyunji, I thought my first boyfriend was the world, and he dumped me and broke my heart. I just don't want that to happen to you-"

"Eunji, you don't understand. Jungkook isn't like other guys. He loves me and he's not gonna hurt me."

Eunji softly smiled, hoping what Hyunji said would pan out to be true. Regardless of what Eunji's opinion was, she knew making a conscious effort to be warmer to Jungkook was something she would have to do.

After waiting for what felt like decades for Jungkook to wake up, Hyunji had to take matters into her own hands. Barreling into their room she opened the blinds and ripped the blankets off of him. He was pretending to be asleep and she knew it.

"Jungkook, it's 9am! You have less than three hours to pack your shit and get yourself together. You know you take a long time." Hyunji scolded him.

"Mmmm," Jungkook whined, laying on his stomach as he hugged a pillow.

"I need to wash the sheets before we leave."

He smirked at her words.

She saw him slowly begin to close his eyes again, rolling her eyes as she walked over to his side of the bed. Hyunji slapped his ass, Jungkook's body jumped from being startled as he groaned.

"Jiiii!" He turned over to face her. "What time is it?"

"9." She replied.

"Ugh, Okay, I'm getting up."

After stretching Jungkook pried himself off the bed and stood up. Walking over to Hyunji he pulled her into a hug and leaned some of his weight onto her while yawning loudly in her ear.
