( Back in Time slightly! )

While sitting and watching his fellow knights train, Katsuki had these feelings of relief but also annoyance while in deep thought as to how he should follow through his plans.

"You look like you're thinking hard." a voice behind him spoke, forcing the blond to look in the corner of his eye to see Gin approaching him. Though he remained calm, his eyes furrowed at what happened earlier and how the silver-haired man had vanished from his sight before he could even anticipate it.

"Tch– You left your post."

"I know, I know, and I'm sorry about that. I actually wasn't feeling all that great earlier, and it's probably because of those new guests that entered the palace." Gin answered, trying to lie through his teeth to make sure the blond wouldn't notice.

"Whatever, I'm not in the mood to try and argue with you."

"I can see that, so what's making you so annoyed right now? Cause it looks to me like you haven't figured out what to get a certain servant girl." Hearing those words, Katsuki sprung to his feet and was just centimeters from punching Gin straight in the face.

"Don't say that kinda stuff out here." the blond angrily whispered.

"Ah– right, then I suppose we should have a little chat somewhere else."

"Huh? You decided that you wanna get her a hairpin? How'd you think of something like that?" Gin questioned after hearing the blond's side of things.

"Her hair was messy the last time I saw her and since I knew how to fix it... I wanted to, and since she had a plain hairpin with her... I thought I could get her a better one." the blond explained as he rested his elbows onto his lap and had second thoughts on this idea.

"Hmm~ For once you actually thought of something reasonable and... trendy."

"Ha? Trendy?"

"Mn. It's known to be a pretty popular hair ornament here in the East from what I've heard. Besides, you're not the only one who has thought of gifting a hairpin to a girl. It's known here in the East that men give a hair ornament to the one they like. Maybe this could be your way of confessing to her." Gin suggested, leaving Katsuki to sit there and process those very words.

"C-Confess?"

"Sure, why not?"

"T-That... That sounds like a lot, and I've already heard her say that she doesn't like me."

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't stop liking her. Of course giving her space after confessing to her is good too, just knowing and seeing how you've put so much effort for her already, I can tell that you're serious about this." Gin noted with a subtle smirk.

Thinking through the Vice Captain's words left the blond interested in the thought that he knew that he should at least try and attempt what he wanted to do.

"Maybe... I can."

"That's the spirit."

"Ah– Oh shit, now I remember why I was pissed earlier."

"Huh? You weren't pissed only at me leaving?"

"No, I'm pissed because I don't have time to go out and get a hairpin for this situation! I'm a fucking, so how the hell can I leave my post now?!?!"
