While Emra was storming back to the palace, it didn't take long for everyone else in the city to enter the palace grounds as well, as they were all hoping to witness history. Minutes before the wedding ceremony was to begin, Momo peeked her head through the curtain to see the large crowd of people that will be witnessing this event.
'So many people...'
"You seem more ready for this than I thought." Momo jumped as she backed her head away from the curtain to see her Prince, Shoto, approaching her with a smile on his face.
"Shoto–"
"You look beautiful, Momo."
"Ah– T-Thank you, if it weren't for Miss Izumi to give me these robes just this morning, then I would've had to wear something far different from this." Momo answered as she remembered how the greenette ran to her chambers earlier that day.
"I'm sorry I haven't given you this yet, but when me and Katsuki went to the East, I managed to find some of the most beautiful fabrics that I begged for someone to create into the most beautiful robes only you can wear!"
"Hmph– She really is a kind hearted servant."
"Yes. Which now leads to our ceremony to begin."
"Huh? A-Already?"
"Are you afraid of marrying me?"
"No no! That's not what I meant! I... I've been looking forward to this more than anything." Momo answered.
"Then let us go and show the people." he spoke as he held his hand out to her to take.
"Mn. Let's."
And so, the royal couple walked hand in hand as the servants pulled the curtains to reveal them and all the people spectating roared with excitement.
The two walked out to the public and looked to see the Emperor already standing in position with a smile, and the Empress standing just a few feet back. So, the pair walked past the Emperor and then stopped and faced each other to make a formal bow to one another just before turning to face the Emperor for the vows to begin.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Today is a very important–very special–day as we are about to make history by uniting two Kingdoms into one. Standing before me is my daughter, the Princess of the Yaoyorozu Clan, and my soon to be son-in-law, the Young Prince of the Todoroki Kingdom. For years, our Kingdoms have fought against one another and seen as an enemy to the other, but 2 years ago, we changed that. A Peace Treaty was made and in order for peace to continue, this marriage is to be formed. No more will we see each other as enemies, no more will we have to fight to the death for there to be one victor. Today, we make history and become one!" the Emperor announced, as the people roared with cheers for the vows to begin.
But right as the Emperor was about to begin saying vows, no one–not even Momo or Shoto were expecting to hear or see a flamed arrow shot straight towards the Emperor's direction and landing directly on his chest.
"Ah–"
"Father!"
The Emperor's eyes lost life and he dropped to the ground, and everyone went into a complete shock of horror.
But just when things had escalated this fast, the Empress screamed; "I knew it! This is the Emerald Dragon's doing!"
Gasps echoed through the crowd as it was then revealed that Emra was standing in the middle of this crowd, making everyone panic.
"Not only that, but the Emerald Dragon has sided with the Todoroki Kingdom and they were planning on a revolt!!!"
"What?"
