As she clasped the Ruby in her hand, Izumi soon gently pressed the gemstone onto the area of the open wound on the blond and took a deep breath.
'Hopes this works.' she thought as she tightened her grip on the stone and shut her eyes and prayed for the stone to activate for her. And in seconds, Izumi felt a strong warmth come from her hand and made her peek her eyes open to see flames of bright red reacting and seering the blond's wound shut.
"Nrgh– Hah~ Gah!" the blond groaned as he could barely even try to move as he laid there with such a stone burning his skin.
And just after a few long seconds did Izumi slowly pull the stone away from the blond's shoulder to appear that his skin was seared and smelled of leather that shouldn't be burnt. The smell was nauseating to the point that Izumi clasped her hand over her face and to take a few seconds from not having to smell such a disgusting thing before her.
'Ugh– It smells so gross that I didn't even think this through, and now I need to sear the back of the wound closed. I'm sure it's even worse for him than it is for me right now.' she thought as she noticed how out of breath the Captain appeared from such an intense burn.
"U-Um– A-Are you doing okay?" she worriedly asked.
"'Huff' 'Huff' This– Nrgh– This is fine... I could– 'Huff' do this all day..." he sighed with a tired smirk on his lips as he tried to endure such heat and steam from the after effects on his skin.
"B-Being burnt alive isn't something you should say is fine, and I can tell that it hurts. A-And as much as I don't want to, I still need to sear your back." she stuttered as she tried to look away from how red the blond's face was.
Soon, Izumi grabbed hold of his biceps and tried to pull him up with all her little might to make him sit up, which she ended up being successful with. And right as he managed to sit up in front of her, he was easily out of breath from just sitting up.
All Katsuki wanted to do was lie back down. But when lying down sounded like a good idea, Katsuki lifted his eyes slightly to make direct eye contact with the greenette and how enchanting her soft gaze was to him to the point of making his chest feel heavy.
"Do you think you can sit like this while I heal your back?" she sweetly asked, making him shift his gaze from her eyes down to her soft and plush lips and how delicate they appeared to him.
"I– Arg–"
As he tried to answer her, the blond felt the front of his shoulder in immense pain that he started leaning forward without realizing it.
"Ah– W-Wait– N-Not towards me! Oof!"
Though she tried to tell him not to do what she asked, he didn't listen as he soon rested his chin on top of her right shoulder and somehow managed to wrap his arms around her waist in the process.
When Izumi could look at their situation, she was a bit embarrassed by how this turned out, but when she looked before her to realize that she could see the back of the Captains shoulder and the open wound perfectly, then she couldn't complain about how he was resting himself against her.
"Erm– Y-You can stay like this for a second while I close the back of your shoulder." she mumbled as she clutched the Ruby in her hand and lifted her arms to wrap around his body until she rested the gemstone on the back of his shoulder.
"This one will be quick, but still bear with it as it will be bad as the front. Here we go." Izumi took a deep breath as she made sure the Ruby was in the right place, and then sparks of red blazed right before her eyes.
The flames of red were just as brilliant from when she seared the front of his shoulder, and though the flames couldn't hurt her, she could still feel the intense heat coming from it as it burned the Captain's skin.
