150: Final Conflict

As the pair of doors exploded with the sight of Emerald green flames entering the room, everyone inside became alert and pointed their weapons at the door as Emra entered the room. 

"Hmph– It seems you're still alive after all that's happened already... Emerald Dragon." the Empress chuckled as Emra stopped to show an intense gaze through her left eye at the woman. 

Before even answering to her, Emra focused all her attention at the Empress as the colors went black and white and she could see the colors of blue, gold, white, purple, green and red flowing around the Empress so freely. 

'Red and green? Then that would only mean–' 

"I can only assume you came here to speak to me–" 

"You– You did something to Izumi and Katsuki, didn't you?" 

"Eh~? I don't know what you mean." 

"Don't lie! I can see it, the powers of a Ruby and an Emerald aura floating around you." Emra spoke, only leading the Empress to turn serious.

"I see, and... how would you know that?" 

"Because it's an ability I learned as an Emerald, and it's called the 'Emerald Sense' where I can see when someone owns a gem inside their body. That means that you've consumed all 6 Sacred Gems for yourself." 

"Hmph– My my, how smart you are, but it seems having just this much power isn't enough for me." 

"What do you mean?" 

The Empress didn't answer at first as she raised something in her hand to the greenette to reveal it was an Emerald gem. 

"What? Who's– Ah–" 

When focusing on the gem as much as she could, Emra could easily recognize that this gem belonged to Izumi, as there was a reflection of the greenette in the gem. 

"That's Izumi's–" 

"Quite a strong power comes from this one, but it still doesn't satisfy me." 

"How could you, when Izumi didn't do anything wrong."

"Oh no, this wasn't because of her, this was because of you." 

"Me? What did I do?"

"Mmmh~ To be more precise this was all because of someone related to you in your clan." 

Emra wasn't sure who the Empress could be specifying at this point, so she stood there and waited. 

"Hmph– I suppose you want an answer, very well, then listen well. Over 20 years ago, I had just taken the heart of the Betta King and was living a peaceful life here after getting married to the Emperor. The only reason I decided to marry the Emperor was because he too was carrying a gem that I needed, but it was too soon to take his. So after gaining his trust, I eventually got pregnant, but since I was born a Siren, pregnancy was deemed dangerous for someone like me. Sirens don't populate through giving birth to more, no, we usually just spread our curse onto more humans for them to do the same. And because I swallowed a gem, my body was changing, I was aging faster, and I was also dealing with a lot of pain because I was becoming more human each and every day." the Empress started.

"Then what about your pregnancy?" 

"I had known about the other clans and knew that Emeralds were skilled with healing no matter the situation may be. So, after begging my husband to look for an Emerald, he found one... your mother." Emra flinched from hearing such a word, as she was never told this before. 

"M-My mother?" 

"Yes, but when I told her to heal me because my pregnancy was getting worse... she refused."
