Shangri La Pt. 1

133: Angelic

As the morning Sun began to creep into the very cracks of the palace, it soon rose to the point of peeking into the windows of every room it could find. One of those rooms happened to belong to a certain greenette, as she could feel the warmth of the pure light hitting her skin and trying to wake her up. 

It didn't take long for the Sun to wake her up either, as it soon became apparent it was trying to wake her up when the light began growing over her face and hurting her closed eyes. 

'Erm– I don't wanna wake up yet~ Hmm? Ah–' 

Turning her entire body to face away from the window, Izumi just happened to peek her eyes open to see someone lying in front of her. She thought she was dreaming as she lifted her gaze up from the person's chest all the way until she could recognize that the blond Captain was lying right next to her; fast asleep.

'Oh... I thought he'd already be gone by morning...' she thought as she subconsciously reached her hand up and out to him. 

But the moment she was about to rest her hand on the blond's sleeping face, she was stopped as he grabbed her hand, used his other arm to wrap around her waist and pulled her. 

"Woah!" 

"Tryin' to surprise me this early in the morning?" 

"Ah–" 

When she opened her eyes, Izumi could only lie there to see Katsuki was on top of her with his face just centimeters away from her. Seeing him with his messy spiky hair and perfectly chiseled chest and abs left her lying there in a deep stare that it was clear she wasn't fully awake yet. 

"Katsuki... Ah– Y-Y-You're awake!" she stuttered as her face started to blossom red from realizing how long she was staring at him.

It was clear to him that she was worried she did something wrong as she tried to lift her hands to cover her own eyes and face from him. 

"I-I didn't mean to s-surprise you, I-I just thought you really weren't h-here that I–" 

"Izuku–" 

"Eh?" 

Chuu~ 

The second she moved her hands away from her face, Katsuki leaned in and gently pecked her cheek. Her lips quivered as he lifted himself away after pecking her cheek that now she still wasn't sure if this was actually happening. 

"O-Oh–" 

"Did you sleep well?" 

"I-I did..." 

"Are you still sore?" 

Just hearing that question so early in the morning made her face get brighter with embarrassment that she had to avert her eyes from him. 

"I-I can manage... we are supposed to leave today, so I-I'll be okay." she answered carefully.

Just hearing her say that instantly reminded the blond that she was right, they were leaving the West today. He automatically got irritated by the idea and groaned as he leaned his head down onto her chest. 

"K-Katsuki?!" 

"I don't wanna leave yet." 

"Eh?" 

She watched as he lifted his head to look at her with those same intense Ruby red eyes that he's always had. 

"I don't wanna leave cause then we'll have to deal with a lot of shit going back." 

Just hearing him say that, Izumi remembered why the blond was so against it for them to return to the East right away; because Izumi is still alive and the Empress probably doesn't know it. The thought of having to face the Empress after knowing that she should've been dead long ago... there was a fear starting to seep into her mind.
