Shangri La Pt. 1

48: Conclusion

"A LITTLE SPEAR LIKE THAT AIN'T GONNA KILL ME!!!" he screamed as he quickly grabbed his sword off the ground.

'He managed to pull the spear out!'

The second Katsuki clutched the hilt of his blade, sparks of brilliant red flames erupted and echoed what his eyes appeared; fury. Ray's eyes widened by the sight, as it reminded him of something Gin had done a long time ago. 

And just like that did Katsuki start swinging his sword towards Ray over and over, causing Ray to try and block each attack only to be attacked by another swing. And when Ray would think the blond would stop, he never would, only forcing Ray to start backing away after each attack until he couldn't walk any further and felt his back hit a wall. 

Katsuki knew this, but he still pointed the end of his sharp blade against Ray's throat as he was now cornered.

"I don't like cornering my opponent–it's the cheapest way to win–but I can tell that if I didn't, you would've tried to kill me." Katsuki growled as he clutched the hilt of his blade. 

Ray was quite surprised, as it sounded to him that Gin was a bigger influence to Katsuki than he thought, as even cornering someone like this was something Gin didn't like to do either. 

"Heh– So is that the end of the fight?" 

"Not yet." Katsuki answered as he pulled his blade away from Ray's throat but remained to keep his intense gaze on his opponent. 

"Ah–" 

"You did some damage to me, so let me return the favor and do the same." Katsuki spoke as a toothy grin appeared on his face. And in mere seconds did Katsuki push his arm forward for his sword to aim for Ray's shoulder and then–

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?" 

Katsuki abruptly forced his blade to a stop and turned his head to see both Shoto and Momo arriving at the scene. 

"No way– The Princess... and the Prince are here?" Izumi muttered as she was just as surprised as everyone else. In seconds all the servants and soldiers bow to the pair as they walk onto the training grounds. 

Shoto gazed his eyes around to see not only Katsuki with his blade against an unknown face, but also Gin with his own glaive pointed at another unknown face. 

"Hah~ How embarrassing. Bakugo, Acri, both of you here right this instant!" Shoto demanded, forcing both men to lower their guard and scurry up to their Prince.

"What is the meaning of this? I'm less surprised that you would be doing something like this, Bakugo, but I'm more disappointed that you joined in on this kind of thing, Acri. Why is there a fight to begin with?" Shoto questioned. Neither of them wanted to answer, but they knew that their Prince would only wait for their answer. 

"We–" 

"They're new recruits that came from the West and were appointed to come here as soon as possible, Your Majesty. And since I know these two... I was the one that suggested that all the knights watch and learn their skills in a fight like this. It was my fault that I didn't think this through, Your Majesty. Forgive me." Gin explained as he made a low bow to the Prince.

Everyone spectating was speechless to such a brave knight admit his mistakes to their own Prince that it left everyone in awe. Even Ray and Uma were surprised by Gin taking the blame, as they knew he used to fight back no matter the situation, but it's clear that he's grown and become more mature compared to back then. 

Shoto didn't like that it was his Vice Captain admitting everything, but he knew that he wouldn't get this kind of answer from the Captain. So Shoto swiftly glanced over at both Uma and Ray and could tell that both were quite talented and brave soldiers, something that the Todoroki Knights are known for.
