Shangri La Pt. 1

94: Leisurely

As the new morning started to awaken, it was clear that a certain blond Captain raced for the morning light to wake up as he was already awake just like the day before. Though he did have a bit of a difficulty going to sleep because of the night before–as he still had a lot of thoughts in his mind–he was calm and eased while trying not to overthink things involving a certain greenette. 

'Dammit, if I didn't see all that last night, then I wouldn't be feeling like this to the point that I can barely fucking sleep. Hah~ It's fine, she doesn't know I saw her so I'm not gonna say anything, but...' 

When he thought more about it, Katsuki shifted his attention over to the cave to see the greenette was once again in a peaceful sleep as she huddled up in a little ball with his fur coat as her way of staying warm. 

'She can't be traveling just wearing my tunic, which means I gotta find a village before she wakes up.' he thought, which easily made up his mind and he went on the search.

Sooner or later, Izumi could feel how sore her body was from lying down so long that her eyes refused to stay closed. 

'Erm– Just let me sleep a little more~' she thought as the Sun refused to listen to her thoughts and glimmered through the cave and shined in her face. She groaned as she pulled the fur coat to cover her eyes, only to feel something be thrown at her. 

"Huh? What was that?" 

"Finally decided to wake up?" 

"Ah–" 

When she pushed the fur coat off her face, Izumi could only lift her head up to see the blond Captain standing feet from her with his arms crossed. 

"K-Katsuki– What are you doing standing there?" 

"Waiting on you to hurry up and get up and get dressed so we can go." 

"Ah– Erm– Get dressed? But I don't have any–" 

"Yeah you do." 

"Eh?"

He pointed down at her and answered; "I got those for you." 

She didn't know why he was pointing directly at her, but when she decided to sit up and look down at herself, she saw a folded pile of neat and clean clothes resting in her lap. 

"Ah– These are–" 

"They ain't clothes you're used to, but considering we're going to the West, you'll fit in at least. Can't have you keep wearing my clothes, can I?" he teased, easily making her blush and trying to avert her eyes from him. 

"M-Mn, I-I'll get changed." 

"Good, we got half a day of traveling to do, and I'm sure you're tired of it too." 

"I-I'm fine." 

"Yeah yeah, just get ready." he finished as he turned back and left the cave.

'Hm– He truly is different from before, as he's not yelling or getting annoyed about certain things. Maybe that's because of what he told me the day before yesterday...' she thought as she could only hear his words echo through her mind and how he appeared sincere and honest to her. 

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!!!" "You don't know how long I've been wanting to do that." 

'He also seemed very serious about what he said, and–' 

She couldn't help but reach her hand up to her lips and let her fingertips recognize how warm her lips were from that kiss he did to her. 

'It's... It's not the first time he's kissed me, considering the first time we met he kissed me, but he tasted the same as the first time. Does he really love me like he says? He has been careful around me ever since that happened, so this couldn't be a dream... right? Erm– I shouldn't be thinking about something like that when I need to get dressed. Ah– Wait– These are... how do I put these on?'
