                         E M MA    P O V:

I go into my classes and then I get out of classes and then I go and have lunch at the Misquote Plate with dad. And the whole time, I just thought about crying because I actually missed Christopher. I haven't seen in him in three days. And it's the hardest thing I've ever had to do was stay away. Dad told me to stay away from Christopher for a while just so I can focus on school and study and try to focus on nursing classes. And to think about working which I do after classes. And of course, I meet with Ty everyday and we usually talk at this gazebo because Ty said it was Christopher's favorite spot when they were younger. It is right in San Diego.

And after school and work, I go home and I usually shower, do laundry and I chat with either Mandy or Victoria. I wanted to call Peach so badly and explain what is happening but I saw Peach's last Instagram post which was her and Liam literally in Africa with a lion. They live in London but their visiting Africa right now and I wouldn't wish to drop anything on her while she's on vacation. And I actually couldn't explain it to her without crying. And Mandy and Aaron have been busy with their wedding plans. Their wedding is in February so it's next month. And Mandy asked me to be her Maid of Honor. And I would never have expected that while Mandy is literally four months pregnant right now. She's past the morning sickness stage. And she's predicting that she's obviously pregnant with a boy.

I feel tortured by Colleen. And she hates that I'm here with dad. And dad is absolutely furious with Colleen and he sees what she's doing but he knows that she is actually in the wrong for giving up on Christopher. And for keeping me away from him. She put it down to the doctors and nurses that I'm not allowed in the room to see Christopher. I already tried getting into the room but the nurses told me that I'm not allowed in the room. And it actually pissed me off. But I'm not gonna cry about it. I had stayed crying with Victoria after I was told I couldn't see Christopher. And I had stayed at her house with her and Logan, and I just cried with her and she told me that everything was to be okay and that I could stay for as long as I liked. And so I did.

But then it took me a minute after I got out of the shower this morning that there is one person in Christopher's life who could actually stop Colleen. And it's his grandmother. Charlotte Greyson. Christopher has her number. So I got dressed and I drove over to dad's and I went through the box of his belongings from the car accident that dad put them in. And the first thing I find is his phone that is now dead. I charge it up for a few hours and Hallie is at home with the babysitter, Laci. And I'm just trying to get into his phone. He doesn't have a passcode on it so I'm able to get in right away.

I search for her number and I put it into my phone so I can call her. And I walk outside onto the patio and when I shut the door behind me, she picks up.

"Hello?" A woman's voice says, and she sounds normal but a little more confident than most people who answer phones.

"Hey, are you Charlotte Greyson?" I calmly asked. And I feared I might get blasted.

"This is. May I ask who's calling?" She sounded sweet and so kind.

"I'm Emma James. Christopher's stepsister and girlfriend. The girl he was going to propose with your ring." I responded to her with.

"Oh so your the famous Emma. Oh my my grandson he never shuts up about you. I've seen a few photos of you. Because he brags to me and his cousins about you all the time. But anyways, is there something I can help you with? How is Christopher doing?" Charlotte said, and she sounded so happy and bubbly and she obviously doesn't know about Christopher's condition. I thought Colleen would've called her and told her but she obviously didn't.
