Part II: Chapter Twelve

E M M A POV:

I had arrived at the church, I had a bouquet of flowers in my hand the second I was in the car. Yesterday, us girls spent the day at the spa and getting our backs massaged, and then we spent it indoors at a hotel room where we had a bunch of room service like pizza, popcorn, ice cream, and soda and we just watched chick flicks. Mandy loved and adored the company by us all.

We had a moment during the bachelorette party, that Mandy and us talked about what Mandy should name her baby. Mandy is only four months, so she's not showing too much but there's the small bump you can see depending on what she's wearing. But most of her clothes are paternity clothes so you can barely tell. But, Mandy said she was looking mostly at boy names because she felt she was having a boy. And she she wanted to go with A.J for Aaron Jr. Victoria suggested to name her baby Bryce after Mandy's deceased baby brother who drowned in their swimming pool when Mandy was thirteen. Mandy hadn't thought about that until Victoria suggested. And then I guess the night went on for us looking forward for the next day.

I had bad dreams last night. I was having bad dreams about what happened to my dad. I kept having images in my head of his dead body. He was found lying there in the parking lot of the hospital where he works. You know it's funny, every time I get a nightmare of him, I wake up crying. And when I woke, Victoria rolled over waking from my crying. And she told me to calm down and so, I did. And when I did, I had returned to sleeping with Victoria lying right next to me. And when I woke up, we had breakfast room service and of course we arrived at Mandy's house after to get dressed into the fitting around nine thirty. And we had gotten our makeup done and our hair done. Aaron and the guys went out to a basketball court and they spent it at Logan's house watching a football game and eating hot wings, pizza, Chinese food and drinking beer.

We were inside the house upstairs in the master bedroom where we had our makeup getting done. And I had my hair combed and brushed. I decided to put my hair in a low fancy bun. I had put on my dress since I was the Maid of Honor. It was a beautiful purple long dress with designed invisible lace flowers on it. The dress had thin straps. And of course, I had my mindset on everything else going on with me rather than going on right now. I had worn these white flat dress shoes. And The Bridesmaids were dressed in beautiful teal blue dresses. I felt like a princess the way I was dressed. I had picked up my bouquet of flowers and once we were all set, I had looked out the window and I saw the backyard filled with guests. I knew I had to be myself. But the first thing that happened to me was I had snuck into the bathroom, and I locked it.

I told myself that today is going to be fine. I shouldn't even be here. I should be back home in my house that I just moved back into that I live in with Victoria. Victoria decided to move in with me because she thought it would be best if I had someone around. And Logan was clearly okay with it. I just unpacked yesterday morning. And since then, I think I'm ready to have my dad's house again, and I feel so much more closer to him than I have ever been.

I had washed my hands, and then I had left out of the bathroom and I saw Mandy in her beautiful wedding dress that was pure white and it was lace and the veil was super gorgeous on her. And she was partly sobbing because she was the happiest day of her life. She turned away from the mirror in the hall upstairs and she turned to look at Victoria and me.

"I feel like this isn't real. I feel like I'm going to throw up." Mandy whined, staring right at herself, her wavy brown hair flowing down to the middle of her back.
