Third Person's POV

Nagising si Gerry na medyo mabigat ang ulo, dahil sa nainom na alak kagabi. Pagtingin niya sa tabi niya'y wala na si Sophia.

Tinungo niya ang connecting bathroom at naligo. Pagkuwan ay agad na nagbihis siya. Di na niya napansin ang pagkaing naiwan ni Sophia sa may dining table at agad na pumasok na sa opisina.

Pagdating sa lobby ng opisina ay agad na sinalubong siya ni Edward.

"Sir, your dad wants to talk to you at the conference room." Edward says.

His forehead crumpled. "What is he doing here?"

"I don't know, sir, they just wanted to talk to you, it's an urgent meeting." Sagot ni Edward.

Tumango lang siya at mas binilisan ang paglalakad patungo sa may elevator.

   

Ngayon lang siya nakaramdam ng kaba habang sakay sakay ng elevator. Nang marating nila ang ika-anim na palapag ay agad na dumiretso siya sa conference room.

   

"Dad?" Bati niya rito.

    

"How were you, Gerry?" His dad's tone was lame.

   

"I'm all good dad." He replied.

"But our business is not doing so good lately." He says and looked to his secretary and to Edward. He signaled them to leave us.

Tanging silang dalawa nalang ang naiwan sa conference room.

"Some of our investors pulled their shares, it started when your grandfather died." He says. "Now, all the investors are looking forward to see our business to rise up again. Ang dami nating pending projects, Gerry. We have 7 casinos, 4 Malls and 5 hotels to build, pero ni isa sa mga iyon ay wala pang nasisimulan."

Napayuko si Gerry.

"When will you start the projects? They are about to pay all the stuff tapos tayo wala pang sinisimulan?" He says, "and the bidding for the multi-billion project of the Government, we won the bid pero hanggang ngayon wala ka pang nabubuong blueprint."

"I'll promise to do something about it, dad." He says firmly. "By next week, may mga nasinulan na ako."

"Hopefully, we can't afford to lose another investors again, anak." He says and left him dumbfounded.

Naupo siya sa upuan at yumuko, sinuklay niya ang buhok gamit ang daliri.
