After the team had shut down the power in Ninjago, instead of travelling straight to the city, they decided to take a detour. A detour at Ed and Edna's scrap yard, no less. Although a few powered down Nindroids laid still in a few places, the team still got to work on searching for a few things while Zane and Nya concentrated on getting Pixal powered up again.

"We've been digging for so long, I think I forgot what we're looking for!" Cole grumbled as he stopped to take a break from searching for parts.

"A jiggly compact compress converter. Or was it a compress compact jiggly converter? Whatever it is, if it can get us back to New Ninjago City any sooner, it's worth finding." Kai grumbled as well as he tried to pull something from the side of the pile. But just as he got it out, the piles of scrap metals around him and Cole started shaking, before collapsing down as the two ninja screamed.

"We shut off the power thinking we could just waltz in but no. We didn't stop to think we were a bazillion miles away. Hey! A compact converted jiggly compressor!" Jay, who hadn't noticed Kai and Cole's accident yet, called out from on top of a tall scrap mountain as he pulled out a metallic part from the pile.

"Ah! Great find, kiddo. Now all we need to adapt that hover-copters's power supply to solar power is an upside down rotter derottermabob and a whiz bang automated amplifier!" Ed, who was searching the same pile, spoke as the red and black ninja groaned at the conversation,

"I'm starting to think they're just making this stuff up." Kai spoke as he and Cole let out a frustrated sigh.

"Cole, Kai, over here!" Just then, a sudden call came to them, as the two turned to look behind themselves and face the one who had called to them.

It was (y/n), who rushed over with three glasses of water and handed two of them to Kai and Cole before taking one for himself.

"Oh my god, thank you! I'm barely alive here!" Kai groaned dramatically before taking a sip of water.

"Yeah, same here. Thank you, (y/n)." Cole said as well before chugging the whole glass of water down at once. (y/n) took a sip as well before speaking up.

"Please don't thank me, really." (y/n) said, and thinking he was being humble, Kai and Cole laughed, until (y/n) spoke up again.

"I am serious. Edna is such a sweetheart, but she's very old now, so I've been doing her 'job' and running around delivering water and snacks around the whole day. I'm happy to help, but I could do more. Yet she still doesn't believe I'm fine, telling me to 'take it easy' and 'be careful'. at every chance she gets" (y/n) spoke as Kai nodded in acknowledgement, while Cole gave (y/n) a sympathetic smile.

Cole leaned over and wrapped an arm around (y/n)'s shoulder and squeezed (y/n) tightly as he drank the rest of his water. Cole let out a laugh as (y/n) mistook the action for an embrace, and gave Cole a quick one handed hug before taking a sip of his own water.

Kai looked from the side with an amused smirk when he noticed Jay and Ed were heading back to where the others were in the caravan. Cole noticed them almost immediately after.

"I'll go check on Zane and Pixal now. You guys coming too, Kai, (y/n)?" Cole then said and stood up as Kai quickly downed all of his water as well.

"Yeah!" Kai said and jumped up as (y/n) nodded.

"You go first, I'll be right behind you." He spoke as Kai and Cole gave him a couple of nods and started making their way to the caravan.

(y/n) stayed back to drink his water in peace. He looked up to the sky before shutting his eyelids. There was almost nothing but silence, only a few cries of birds flying by could ruin the moment, but (y/n) didn't mind them either.
