Once Bitten, Twice Shy

I absolutely hate this chapter. It suck. Anyways,

In the bridge, Zane, Kai, Cole, and Jay were sitting around a table and listening to Nya, who was teaching them about an old Fangpyre skeleton on the table. (y/n) could be seen standing away from the rest, a meter or so away. The falcon sat on the table next to Zane.

"Some villagers unearthed the remains of this Fangpyre a few miles away. It predates the Golden Age, and must be hundreds of years old. Although the venom in the fangs of the Fangpyre genetically mutate human cells into reptilian, I've learned there could be a way to stop the effects without having to create an antivenom." Nya explained to them. Kai spaced out in boredom while Zane actually paid attention and took notes. Cole was drawing a picture of himself and (y/n) fighting snakes, glancing at (y/n) every now and then for reference while Jay was staring dreamily at Nya. His hair was slicked nicely with hair gel.

"If one is able to wildly raise their heart rate, hypothetically it could reverse the venom's effects." Nya continued, but her cheeks were turning pink by the minute.

"Resulting in...diminished, uh, excuse me, is someone wearing perfume? I'm severely allergic to perfume." She said while Jay turned to Kai.

"Eheh... You told me it was men's cologne." Jay whispered to Kai.

"Meh, I get them mixed up." Kai said as he, along with Cole and Zane started laughing. (y/n) smiled along before shaking his head. He covered his nose with his hand while Kai gave a fist bump with Zane, who turned off his humor switch. Afterwards he stood up and picked up his notebook.

"Ah, looks like class is over. Time to start stomping on some Serpentine before they find any Fangblades." Cole said as everyone started standing up and heading out of the bridge. (y/n) was the first to speed walk out the door, with a deep breath he relaxed at the fresh air.

"Sounds like a plan." Kai agreed.

"I'm excited to join." Zane said as the three left the bridge too. 

"You okay?" Kai asked (y/n) who covered his nose again when Kai approached him. Kai looked highly offended for a second before (y/n) spoke up.

"The perfume Jay was using is really too strong for me. You sat next to him the whole time so the smell has caught onto you a bit." (y/n) said and took a step away from Kai.

"You're allergic too?" Cole asked worriedly but (y/n) shook his head.

"No, rather, I hate strong artificial smells and scents. The perfume Jay used was really too strong, I hated it." (y/n) stated. The three nodded in acknowledgment before Kai and Zane started heading towards the main deck of the bounty. Cole was going to follow when (y/n) stopped him.

"Cole, can we talk for a minute?" He asked and Cole turned around.

"Yeah, of course, about what?" Cole said and stood in front of (y/n) again.

"Hold on a bit." He said and nodded to where Nya rushed out of the bridge with a small smile on her face, and a very chirpy Jay following a bit after, humming a happy tune all the while. (y/n) coughed before turning to Cole again.

"Well... It's about the promise you made. You said you were going to take me and Lloyd to the amusement park to celebrate catching the Samurai but... Lloyd is missing, and we have no idea when, or if we're gonna find him. We can't really just search for him either since we don't know where he currently is, nor if he's alone with a serpentine or two or maybe Pythor himself guards him all the while... It has me really stressed out." (y/n) looked everywhere other than Cole's eyes while unconsciously speaking faster and faster. He looked worried, to no-one's surprise.
