Kiss

Cody's Pov -
I looked at Noah for minute, and he looked at me back.

"That was so stupid of me, Cody, I'm sorry-"

"Don't be." I said quickly. "I like you too."

We stared at each other again.

"I could kiss you right now." Noah said.

"Me too." I whispered back.

Then Noah pulled my face closer and our lips met. Then my phone buzzed.

"Oh god," Noah said, pushing himself away. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine." I shouted. "Uh, I should go home."

"Cody, I'm really sorry." Noah pleaded. "I really didn't mean to."

"No, it's fine. I'm going home."

"Cody wait!" I yelled as he ran off. "Cody!"

{ Time Skip }

I sat in class the next day, thinking about what had happened last night. Why did you have to kiss Noah! My thoughts yelled at me. That was the worst idea you've ever had.

I managed to make it through school that day, but history was just horrible. Me and Noah didn't even look at each other the entire time. I tried to say something to him as he left, but he just kept walking.

"Noah, wait!" I yelled after him, but he walked faster.

"Noah!" I screamed. "Come back!"

He didn't listen, he just kept walking. I ran after him until he made it too far down the street, and I walked slowly back to the school.

Me: noah please why aren't you talking to me

Me: If it's about last night, i'm really sorry, ok?

Me: noah please

Noah <3: cody you don't have to be sorry it's my fault

Me: please can we just talk about this?

Me: Noah.

Me: Noah answer.

I threw my phone at the floor. I sat up and grabbed a piece of lined paper from my backpack and began scribbling words onto it.
Over and over again I trashed the notes, because they were total crap. But I landed on a more simple note.

Dear Noah,
                     Will you go to the dance with me?

Noah's Pov-

I stayed in my room even more than I did yesterday. My mom tried to get me to come out of my room, but I didn't. I couldn't text Cody and ask him to meet me, it would be too awkward.
Until I heard a knock on my door.
"Honey, it's your friend Cody!" I heard my mom call from downstairs.
I opened my door and saw Cody standing awkwardly outside.
"Hi."

"Hi."

We stood in the doorway for a moment.

"Can I come in?" Cody asked.

"Oh, uh, yeah." I said, stepping out of the way for Noah. Cody walked around my room for a minute before looking at me.

"Where do I sit?"

"Uh, just on my bed."

We both walked over to my bed and sat down, where we sat in silence again.

"So there was something I wanted to ask you, but it's really awkward."

"What is it now!" I laughed.

Cody sighed.

"Do you want to go to the dance with me?"
