Probably that day you looked at your phone a thousand times. But no call. You started biting your nails, it was a bad habit that you had when you were a bit nervous or confused.
"Hey" Lily tried to draw your attention. "So you have been looking at your phone all day, like what is going on?"
You looked at Lily, for a minute you were thinking of telling her what was going on. However, what was the point, he wouldn't call anyways. There was nothing to tell really.
"Yeah, I know...I've been looking at my phone all day. I'm just expecting my mom to call" you said with a smile.
"Oh, is your mom ok?"
"Yeah, yeah she is fine...it's nothing"
"Ok, great. Why don't you call her? You seem like nervous! Anyways.... I am going for dinner with some of my friends. Please come with us, we are planning to have Italian food, I know you like that"
"Yeah I do, but not tonight... I am going to stay in. I am still tired from the concert. Hope you don't mind?'
"Ah" Lily shouted "post concert depression is real! I'm telling you!!!"
You did not quite get what Lily was talking about but you just nodded and smiled again. Anything to get her out of your way with all the questions she was having.
Lily got all dolled up and was about to leave for dinner.
"You sure you don't want to come with me? This is your last chance...I will wait for you if you want to get dressed!'
"Thank you so much, but I'm good. I'm gonna stay in tonight"
"Ok, suit yourself...hey order in, dinner on me..ok!"
"Thank you Lily"
"Your most welcome, have a good rest..kiss kiss" and Lily blew you some air kisses and off she went.
Lily was gone and again you looked at your phone..but nothing. It was 8pm now, so you decided to take a shower.
As you hopped in the shower, your phone started ringing...but you couldn't hear it, as you left your phone in the room.
