As soon as the airplane touched the ground, you felt a sense of relieve. "Back on American soil" you thought. You looked out the airplane window. "Welcome to New York" you said to yourself.
You were waiting for the seatbelts sign to be switched off, so you were able to move and grab your hand carriage. They said that a driver would be waiting with a sign with your name. He would take you to the Ritz Carlton hotel. You actually looked forward being in the hotel by yourself for a few days. You packed a bathing suit and everything. Perhaps it was just time to pick up jogging again. Although New York might not be the best place to go for an early jog in the morning. But you never jogged anymore in Korea.
Suddenly you thought back and you caught yourself thinking about the boy with the dragon eyes. "Namjoon" you heard yourself whispering his name. It was kinda crazy that you never ran into him again. But perhaps for the best, but secretly you kinda wish you did. But what would you ever tell him if you ran into him again?
Right at that moment you saw the driver with your name. "Thank you for picking me up" you said and the driver took over your luggage. "We should go this way" the driver said "We want to avoid the crowd, it seems that there is a big star coming and there are a lot of screaming fans over there. So I suggest we avoid that" he smiled "Unless you want to see who is coming and catch to see a celebrity" he asked in hesitation.
"Oh no..nooo...by all means let's avoid crowds. I want to get to the hotel as soon as possible, thank you"
"Very well then, just follow my lead" and he swiftly moved between people out of the door. You tried your best to follow him and was kinda happy that you had someone like him picking you up. He clearly knew how to navigate through crowds.
When you reached the car and drove away from the airport you were amazed by everything you saw. New York was something else. You kinda loved it. "Welcome to New York" you said to yourself.
The driver looked at you and smiled "Yes, welcome, first time?" You nodded yes.
"Oh well, I hope we will not disappoint you during your stay" he smiled... and almost started cursing to a car who cut him off.
He kinda laughed: "Ah yes, welcome to New York, I guess. We do have a lot of crazies on the road".
You smiled at him "We have a lot of crazies in LA too" you said. You did miss LA. Time in Korea just flew by..yeah it was nice to be back int he US. "Ah here we are" the driver said "I hope you will have a nice stay" You wanted to hand him a tip. "NO worries" he said "It is already taken care off by your company". He quickly took out your luggage from the back trunk and waved the bell boy to take it over and guide you inside. You could not wait to see your room and to find out what your itinerary would look like for tomorrow. But perhaps it was not such a bad idea to wake up early morning and go for a jog, you needed to get back into excerisicing routine again.
