You arrived at the Dia Beacon, and a girl named Wanda greeted you right away. "Hi my name is Wanda, I am so glad you are here". She hardly paused and continued "My supervisor Rachel was supposed to be here, but she is sick. Honestly I'm an intern and this is only my third day of work...so Yeah...I'm glad you are here...I'm a little lost and I don't know much about Kpop." Wanda looked at you with wide eyes. It almost seems as she was about to burst in tears. You could sense that she was very nervous.
"Aw, I'm sorry to hear that Rachel is sick today. Perhaps you can show me what you have so far and we go from there?" Wanda nodded yes and you could see that she was relieved that you had arrived.
So there will be a press conference first correct?" you asked
"Yes, yes...correct" Wanda said quickly.."I will show you to the conference room.I have already set up the chairs".
"Great, do you have the seating charts?"
"Seating charts? Uh, yes yes.....let me get them ..they are on my desk"
Wanda quickly got the charts from her office and ran back "Here it is!" she said and hated a piece of paper to you.
You quickly looked over the lay out of the seating chart. "Look Wanda" you said and pointed at the chart. "If we have the reporters from South Korea sitting on the left, we can't put these translators on the right...we have to put them together, don't you think?"
"Oh my gosh, that totally makes sense" Wanda said and felt a little stupid because she was the one in charge of the seating charts."
"Oh, also.." you continued "These two reporters..yeah don't seat them together, they have been in a long battle with each other..and that for sure will make the press conference unpleasant".
"Oh nooo" Wanda said "I was not aware of that..I'm so sorry."
"Oh no, no problem...it's an easy fix " you said and smiled "All we need to do is change the name labels on the chairs, and we are all set"
Wanda quickly moved to change the name labels "There, is this ok?"
"Yes, perfect" you said and you both smiled at each other.
"I believe the press will arrive soon, how about the star of the show?"
"He just arrived and is in the make up chairs in the dressing rooms right now..it is in another room, I can take you there".
"That would be great, oh..by the way ..do we have a list with the questions that the press can absolutely not ask about?"
"yes..Oh my gosh..almost forgot about that...here it is in my pocket" Wanda handed a folded piece of paper with the list to you."
"Wanda" you said "Wanna learn something?"
"Yes, please, I am very eager to learn"
"Yes, I can see that about you" you answered "That's a good quality to have".
"Just my advice, never hand over folded pieces of paper to your clients, always put them on a clip board or in a map..that way you make sure you can read everything and you will not forget where you put it"
"I'm. I'm so sorry" Wanda said softly
"Oh please, no one is mad at you" you said..."Just watch and learn and don't take it personally. When your supervisor returns, she is going to be impressed with you" you smiled at her.
Wanda felt better now and smiled. Gosh she was so glad that this was going well so far, she had horrible nightmares the night before when Rachel called her that she was sick.
You looked over the 'out of the questions' list "mmmmm, basically nothing about love life, politics, and religion..got it..Ok..lead the way to the dressing room please"
Wanda excitedly led the way to the room. You walked by quite a lot of people and everyone just stopped and stared at you. It felt good, you know you were looking like a boss lady today...and as you already felt before..this was going to be a GOOD day.
