The curse of power

"Sasuke please relaxes." said Sakura as she and Naruto kept holding him down. "Where is Danzo!" Roared Sasuke fighting back. "He escaped." stated Kakashi walking into the room along with Tsunade.

"What do you mean he escaped?" demanded Sasuke. "We can't find him. I sent out our best sensors and trackers but at a certain point they all said it was like he disappeared into thin air." explained Tsunade. Placing a hand on Sasuke's forehead.

"What are yo-," Began Sasuke before he fell asleep. "Alright that should handle that for now." said Tsunade sitting on a nearby bed to Sasuke's. "What about all the other anbu members of root?" asked Naruto.

"We captured or killed everyone in the compound itself. For the ones that were on missions we're still hunting most of them down." said Tsunade. "If you don't mind me asking, is Sasuke going to be alright?" asked Kakashi.

"He should be fine, but I still don't know what could have caused it." said Tsunade. "I think I do." said Naruto pulling a piece of paper from a hidden pocket on his shirt.

Tsunade grabbed it and began to read over it. As she pulled it down from her face, they could all see the amount of distress on her face. "I can't believe he could do something like that at such a young age."

"Huh what?" asked Sakura grabbing the paper. Kakashi moved behind her to also read it. As Sakura dropped the paper to the ground, she and Kakashi both stood in disbelief.

"To think Itachi had such a noble reason to do it." said Kakashi recovering first. "It also explains his rage at Danzo." said Sakura. "We can't tell anyone." said Tsunade.

Sakura and Naruto stared at her in shock. "Do you want me to explain?" asked Kakashi slightly amused by his student's faces. "Go ahead." agreed Tsunade. "We can't tell anyone because if we do, he's going to get killed by the Akatsuki."

"Alright then what can we do?" asked Sakura. "Train so that we can fight the Akatsuki." said Tsunade. "And become a sage." said Jiraiya sitting in the window in the room.

"Wait really." said Naruto almost shouting with glee. "Yeah, Pa thinks you're ready kid." "When do we leave?" asked Naruto. Jiraiya acted like he was looking at a watch before saying, "Right about now." With that the two toad summoners disappeared.

Sasuke readied himself for whatever came next. He had finally been calmed down and had the sense talked into him five days ago. After that he rested and did his best to find out what had happened.

Of course, he was still after Danzo. Now that he had regained his senses, he was even angrier in fact. He had finally realized how Danzo lived through the battle and the thought of it still made him want to find Danzo and boil his insides.

He opened the door to the char remains of something that used to be a temple. A temple for the ancient stone tablet. He walked down the stairs trying to keep his mind off of why all this damage happened.

Seeing how important it was to his clan they fought back hard when his brother had come here. Fire jutsus had burned much of everything above the ground but under it everything still seemed to be fine.

This wasn't Sasuke's first time down here. Each time he had awoken a new tomo in his eyes he had done what his father had told him long ago and checked if there was anything new there.

He opened his eyes and the power of a mangekyou sharingan flowed through him as he looked at the stone tablet. He did his best not to scream out through the pain of using his eye.

It was no physical harm but mental. He had the pain, suffering, sadness, anger he all felt when he awakened the mangekyou sharingan shoved right back into his head.

He tried to hurt through it, but he saw him flipping through the pages reading the dreaded page. Once he finished reading it the pain exploded in his head again. Sasuke powered through it, but he could barely think.

He read the stone tablet as fast as he could while also understanding everything. The second he finished he fell onto the floor barely able to breathe. "Looks like I can't use this in combat but at least I know what I need to do." he thought, forcing himself up.

Naruto smiled looking around at the familiar surroundings. "It's good to be back." said Naruto looking around the toad summons home. "Glad to hear it Naruto now then are you ready to train?" asked Pa, being answered by a smile from Naruto.

Sasuke felt pain, anger, rage, and sadness flood through his body again. He looked at Sakura who had just preform the needed eye transplant. He tried to strike out with a punch.

Luckly Kakashi who was there just in case caught it on time. "Sasuke you can power through the pain." shouted Kakashi trying to help calm him down. The eternal mangekyou sharingan eyes of Sasuke locked onto Kakashi.

"No damnit!" shouted Sasuke, finally turning his eyes back to normal. Sakura rushed over and started to exam him. "You seem to be fine." she stated after a minute.

"So only when I'm using them it happens." said Sasuke standing up. "Sasuke, we need to find a way around that." said Kakashi. "I know but if trading eyes with my father didn't do it what will?"

"I think we should experiment." said Sakura. "Huh?" asked Kakashi. "I mean if we take Sasuke out to a training ground and just try to get him to use the eye through the pain." "It might work." agreed Sasuke.
