He didn't know how strong Arthur was but he understood the prowess of the Beast Woman behind him very well, while he had the prowess of a Saint Rank Swordsman due to mastering all the Sword styles up to Advanced Rank, Ghislaine was a genuine King Stage Swordswoman and it won't take her much effort to kill him much less beat him into pulp.

He decided to ascertain the situation for now, and when he finally heard that Zenith was referring to Arthur as Rudeus, their dead son, he looked at Arthur's face and found many similarities between his and Zenith's face, especially that he looked like a grown-up version of Rudy. It didn't take him long to understand that it was just a misunderstanding.

Arthur comforted the crying mother who wept in his chest," Paul, wait for a bit", said Ghislaine as she walked forward and glanced at Zenith, she understood how bad her situation was and clenched her fists making Paul gulp in nervousness, he nodded and decided to wait, soon the cries of Zenith calmed down, and finally Paul said," Zenith, look carefully he isn't Rudy".

Zenith glared at him and said," What do you know?! He is define-", Arthur interrupted her and said," Miss, he is right. I am not your son, after all even If I might look similar to your son I am way older than him", she paused and glanced at his face, then at his height and body, as the realization dawned upon her, she said with grief," Yes, how can you be Rudy?".

The next moment her body fell, thankfully Arthur caught her. " Zenith!", Paul shouted and quickly came to check on her, Arthur sighed and said," She had become unconscious", Paul glared at him barely concealing his anger and dissatisfaction towards him. " Paul, let's take Zenith inside", said Ghislaine making him nod, Although he was quite angry and dissatisfied, he understood it wasn't Arthur's mistake and Ghislaine was present.

So they took her inside, finally, Ghislaine asked him to explain the entire matter, even if he did explain the whole matter in the letter he had sent her, and his other two friends. There was still a difference between written explanation and oral explanation, so under the angry eyes of Ghislaine, he explained everything though he twisted many facts for his convenience.

For how Lilia was a bitch who seduced him for money and created cracks in their relationship, then how when he was drunk, he by mistake pushed Rudy who unfortunately fell on a stone and died. Finally, once he had finished with his explanation, a slap landed on his cheek, he fell down due to the force and then coughed in pain, as two of his teeth fell down.

He looked above to see an extremely angry Ghislaine who said," You bastard! How can you do that to her?", he replied," It's just a mistake, I know what I have done is unforgivable still for our child, and Zenith's own good, I need to earn her forgiveness! So please Ghislaine help me!", Ghislaine paused, not because she was affected by Paul's passionate speech rather, by the fact that she knew Paul's fate was already sealed.

She snorted and said," Fine, I will try my best", then she glanced at Arthur who said," Sir Paul, from the previous accident we understand that my face is quite similar to your dead son, so If I was to stay here, her condition should improve", Paul hesitated to hear that for a bit but then glancing at Ghislaine he nodded," Okay", he replied, he wasn't too much worried knowing that Zenith only mistook Arthur for Rudy despite their difference in Age due to the striking resemblance between their faces.
