An Armshare Episode

"Sawadee khup du kon! Welcome to today's episode of Armshare. Look who we have with us today?" Phi Arm stated excitedly.

"Sawadee khup, Joong Archen na khup!" He wai-ed

"Sawadee khrub, Dunk Natachai na khrub!" He wai-ed as well.

"I have to say, we have never invited a CEO before. And do you know what was the first thing that Khun Dunk does?" He shows a footage of Dunk observing the production team and chatting with a few personnel. Dunk laughed sheepishly, as he told them that he is a naturally curious person.

"Are you interested in investing in us?" Phi Arm asked cheekily.

"Oh, that's quite possible, Phi Arm. I just need some relevant information, looking into a few criteria to be answerable to our company shareholders. If it all looks good, I'm more than happy to invest in this. Film production is a new venture for me, ka phom." Dunk answered. Joong was proud that Dunk was able to stand his ground, showing what a seasoned player he is in the business world.

"We'll discuss about this afterwards," Phi Arm fake whispered.

"We're here today to discuss what a viral phenomenon the both of you have been. And I definitely want a chance to be photographed by an award-winning photographer." They went on to share pictures of the photoshoot, discussing the product that is being endorsed, their experience during the photoshoot, and what happened there after.

"Was it recently that both of you found out that you know someone in common?" They both laughed at the same time.

"Yes, it was recently that I know that my best friend, Pond was actually Joong's roommate in uni. Such a small world."

"We all attended the same uni but never had a chance to meet up." Joong continued.

"Both of you were brought together by Khun Dunk's latest product, uncannily named Destiny." All three of them laughed.

"I've got a brilliant idea! Let's film a short advert for this product featuring both of you. Like a k-drama advert maybe with a y-series vibe? Okay reu bplao?" Arm said excitedly.

"Gor dai. Phom gor okay, ka phom (Sure, I'm okay with it). I'm game if Joong is. My company has been supportive of the LGBTQ+ community since we first started out. Love is Love" Joong gave two thumbs up. Arm had given them some time to think of the storyline. Dunk was quick on his feet, he discussed with Joong on the concept, Joong agreed. He discussed with the videographer on how he would like it to be filmed. And so the filming begins.

The scene started off with both of them crossing the road from opposite direction. They accidentally bummed into each other. Dunk dropped the bottle of perfume into the paper bag that Joong was carrying in the process. Dunk had apologized to Joong with a short glance at him. Joong stared at him longingly but he was gone before he knew it. Joong was surprised to discover the bottle of perfume in his bag after a short walk. He pressed on the bottle lightly, smelling the perfume. Dunk appeared from behind, standing close to him, whispering to his ears "so this is where my destiny is" as he grabs the bottle clasping Joong's hand in the process. Joong could feel Dunk's breathe on his neck. He turns his face to look at Dunk. Their face so close that they could kissed.

Joong felt his heart pounding out of his chest as they ended on that note. Dunk was good. He was really really good.

Phi Arm fanboying when they were done. "Geng maak! Both of you have chemi loiiee. Jing Jing! How do you feel, nong Joong?"

"Dunk was really good! I can feel my heart racing. He definitely has a potential to be an actor. If I were to act in a y-series, it will be with him. Only him." Joong exclaimed. Phi Arm clapped his hands excitedly.

Dunk laughed. "Khoorp khun na khup (Thank you). I definitely had fun but I don't think my staff would appreciate my growing list. First photography, now acting."

"Oh yes, yes! We definitely need to do a few shots for my IG before we end." Dunk asked Phi Arm a few questions about himself and how he brands himself for IG. He carefully guided Arm through the photoshoot. He then showed him the shots that were taken.

"ohoo~~ that's the difference with award winning photographer. Look at this? Phom chaawp maak loiiee (I love it). Thank you so much for you time, Khun Dunk and Khun Joong. That's it for today's episode. leow jer gan na khup (See you)." They all wai-ed and waved good-bye to the camera.

"Thank you so much for willing to be on my variety show, Khun Dunk. I'm so honoured to be the be first person to host you. I really had fun. Thank you, Khun Dunk. Thank you Khun Joong." They thank each other and waved good bye.

Joong and Dunk were walking towards the exit when Paaw Jack called Joong informing him that he wouldn't be able to pick him up because there was a delay at another event. Joong assured Paaw Jack that he will be able to settle himself. Dunk asked if he would like a lift since he drove. Joong was more than glad by that offer.

"Would you like to have dinner together? Pond is coming over to my house for dinner. I'll be cooking." Dunk asked when they got into the car.

"You can cook?" Joong was surprised.

"I got 2 brothers, and Pond to feed. Of course, I can cook." Dunk laughed. Joong had gladly agreed to tag along for dinner. Feeling a little giddy of the prospect of getting to know Dunk better. That Dunk trusted him to bring him to his house after knowing him for such a short amount of time.

A/N: Decided to throw in this chapter as well even though it's a weekday. It felt kinda weird to leave it at the last chapter so I just push forward. Though the pic is from the Grab endorsement show, I felt it fit the theme of this chapter.  

This was a challenging chapter to write. This is by far the longest chapter I've ever written. If you've watch an episode of Armshare or any variety show, you'll notice how they try to keep it emotionally charged to retain the attention of the audience. I wasn't sure I was able to do that in writing, this is the best I could come up with. What do you all think? Did it capture the vibe? What do you think of the impromptu advert? 🤭🤭

ka phom: polite particle usually used with elders and more formal setting I guess, I've seen it being used a lot during interviews
