"Why didn't you tell me it was this bad? I could hav-" Dunk silence him with a finger to his lip.
"Your parents would not have been able to take in three kids no matter how good a friend they were to my parents. I had asked too much as it is. I could never fathom why you stayed with me through it all." Dunk huffed in disbelieve.
"You may not believe me but you have been my greatest support. You took on the bullies for me when we were kids. You fought for me. You supported me in front of my parents. I would not have been able to study the course that I wanted, have the freedom that I have nor the business that I own now if it wasn't for you. I would probably be under my parents' thumb, suffering at best."
"I still think it's a lousy investment. Cost too much, too little profit gained. You deserve someone better." He spoke to Pond's chest enjoying his warmth.
"I still think you're the best. You're the one who deserves someone better." Pond kisses the crown of his head as he wraps his arms around him. Herein lies the impasse of why they could never be something more than best friends. Both believing that the other should have someone better than themselves in their life. Fated as it is. But their love for each other undeniably strong.

"You heard what Dunk said?" Paaw Charn cutting the chase as they continue their conversation in Dunk's home office. Joong nodded.
"That's as far as you will know. None of us wants to remember it. I sure do not want Dunk recounting the past for your sake. We'll leave it at that. Do you understand?!" Paaw Charn said sternly. Joong nodded once again, understanding the severity of it.
"How do you feel about Dunk now?" Paaw Tinn asked with challenge in his eyes.
"I'm not leaving him if that's what you're asking. I love him. I love him no matter what happened in the past." He said with conviction. Phuwin and Gemini knocked the door right at the moment. Gemini showed Paaw Charn the video recording.
"This is good. This is the evidence we need. I'm sure Khit won't stop. He probably plans to have a press conference, anything to tarnish Dunk's name." Paaw Charn's lawyer persona in full mode as he started strategizing how he can help Dunk.
"We need to be one step ahead of him." Phuwin following Paaw Charn's flow of thought.
"Anything that I can do?" Joong desperately wants to help Dunk.
"You need to be with Dunk now. He needs you now more than ever." Paaw Tinn clasped his arm.

Joong knocks on Dunk's bedroom door before entering. Pond whispers to Dunk that Joong is here. He was about to leave when Dunk catches his sleeve unwilling to let go, afraid of the prospect of facing Joong. Pond calms him down, telling him that everything is going to be just fine.
Joong climbs into bed and hugs Dunk.
"Why are you here?" Dunk whispers.
"Gu rak meung(I love you). I love you no matter what." Joong kisses his forehead.
"Even if my past-" Joong silence Dunk with a kiss on the lips.
"I don't care what happened in the past! All I care about is our present, our future... Gu yu kang kang meung dtor lot bpai (I will be by your side forever)" he hugs Dunk.

A/N: Why can't you like PondDunk go? 🤣🤣🤣Mai huang na. This should be the last PondDunk moment 🤭🤭In case you don't get it, there really isn't any romantic relationship between Pond and Dunk. It's just pure ghostshipping. I guess you could say it's more of a platonic love in this series.
Dunk loves Joong in every romantic sense. Joong came tumbling into his life, breaking everything that he had built the moment he met him. He just defies every logic in Dunk's world. He makes him feel that he can be enough.
Can't believe I'm released 5 at a go. The interlude is just too heavy to stand on its own and to end it on that note doesn't seemed too right. so I've been working extra hard today. 🤣🤣 Hope you all enjoyed it. We'll be back to 2-3 EPs a day after this.
