Not wanting to wake Jennette up just yet, even after finished unloading all the belongings, Ezekiel disappeared to the kitchen, wanting to offer help to his friend.

But when he arrived at the kitchen, it was empty and quiet.

As Ezekiel left the dining room, he saw a silhouette walking up the stairs, carrying something. He thought there was an intruder at first, so he quickly got in pursuit only to see a clearer vision of his suspension.

It was just Lucas carrying Athanasia up to the first floor. Hearing the approaching footsteps, Lucas did turn to look at his friend and heaved his brow at Ezekiel, asking indirectly what his problem was.

The young man only shook his head in response. Neither of them wanted Athanasia to wake up.

The thing was, the two boys never really had to apologize to one another. It was a normal thing for the two. But it seemed like both of them did scare Jennette and Ezekiel could only hope she would get used to their bromance dynamics.

Once again, Ezekiel made his way to the kitchen. He could only assume that after Lucas put Athanasia to sleep properly, his friend would come to the kitchen to start cooking and Ezekiel would be offering assistance.

He really had nothing else to do right now, while waiting for Lucas to show up. So, Ezekiel poured some water into the electronic kettle. Once the button clicked, telling him that the water was boiling hot, the young man put the herbal tea into the steamy water and let it seep for some time.

After a solid thirty minutes of waiting, and drinking a cup full of the tea, Lucas finally showed up.

Parts of his clothes were drenched and needed Ezekiel asked why there was a faint hand print on Lucas' cheek?

Not necessary.

Ezekiel already knew who was the culprit of the hand mark and Lucas looked like he was not in the mood to talk about it at all.

Still, Ezekiel was curious about How Lucas got slapped first thing in the last thirty minutes of bringing Athanasia to her room.

Inquisitiveness aside, Ezekiel didn't say much and offered Lucas the herbal tea by lightly tapping on the glass with his forefinger.

His friend didn't question him much either after he was told that it was just tea to combat cold and Athanasia ought to have some too.

Hearing so, Lucas snatched the cup and gulped down the tea so fast that he choked. Lucas punched his chest rapidly like a wild gorilla declaring its dominance presence because the tea went into the wrong pipe.

After Ezekiel gave a firm tap on the back of his friend, Lucas eventually was able to swallow the rest of the tea. But instead of thanking him, Lucas raised his middle finger at the young master.

Ezekiel sighed inwardly, gotten used to it, and muttered a low, "You are much welcome."

Lucas, then, poured a cup full of tea, ignoring Ezekiel's warning that it would be too much of the good stuff that may lead to unfortunate outcomes if he drank another dose of that tea.

Lucas shoved Ezekiel's face away after hearing a nuisance lecture from his friend and walked out of the kitchen, to the first floor and disappeared for a while.

That was when Ezekiel knew that Lucas was just delivering the tea to his girlfriend.

Lucas came back a moment later, giving Ezekiel a thumb up for no reason, then exclaimed loudly, "Let's start cookin'!!"

Ezekiel sweatdropped, seeing how excited his friend became all of a sudden.

Did something good happen to him a while ago? Or it was just the excitement from the thought of cooking for the group? Maybe he was excited to feed Athanasia?
