For the first time in his life, and within this night, he woke up not to an empty side of the bed. Though she may have turned the other way, he made sure their bodies would leave no space behind.

He would bury his face in her hair, and her neck, loving how she held his forearm to her chest. With every beat of her heart, he could feel the rapture as he entangled her fingers into his, though loosely as he tried to go back to sleep. To ignore the noise that woke him up in the first place.

It was still late. A little past midnight, he saw the digital clock on the counter. But he could no longer ignore the subtle sound coming from the door, the cuddle session was interrupted.

He had to deal with it, cautiously without waking her up.

Slow and steadily, he withdrew his arm. She stirred, and he stopped. He would wait until her breathing went back to normal. Then, he leaned close, peeked overhead, kissed her cheek lightly, and whispered ever so softly, "Be right back."

He then grabbed whatever he could find to cover up for a while. He would figure it out tomorrow. Wore nothing but a waist-length towel, he walked to her door, unaware of the fact that this was her room.

Opening the door, he was greeted with a loud yelp which shook him awake and he quickly glanced over his shoulder to see if that noise would wake her up.

Thankfully, Athanasia could still sleep in even if the sky was falling.

"Quiet. Mommy is sleeping."

The dog let out another yelp as he wagged his tail, tapping his paw to the tile, though as if trying his best to be quiet.

He glanced and glared back at the black fluff in front of the door, pointing at the dog's snout, and spoke in a hushed whisper, "If you wake her up, I swear I will put a fork on you."

Now the dog whimpered as he lay down on the ground, tucking his face between his front paws.

"I thought you were supposed to sleep at Lilian's. Why are you even here at this hour...," he mumbled, yet stepped to the side, "Interrupting our honeymoon... Fine... Get in and...," he trailed, watching how the dog picked a small bag by its teeth and dropped it in front of his dad, "What do you get there?"

Why would he expect an answer in the first place? Of course, the dog would not say anything as he jumped on the bed, and whirled around exactly three times before finding a comfortable place to lie down which was by the edge of Athanasia's feet.

Lucas closed the door as he scoffed, then looked into the bag. "Is this... My clothes? And... A note... People still write a note?" He tilted his head, unfolding the paper.

'Make sure to make it to breakfast. At All Cost. Both of you.'

"This gotta be Lilian... No wonder the Princess is so spoiled yet so disciplined."

He laughed to himself and then put on one of the two sets of clothing. One was sweatpants and a plain t-shirt, while the other was rather semi-casual clothing.

The night was already getting colder and a small towel wouldn't do any good. So he put on the comfortable wear and then put the other set chair, next to Athanasia's closet. Picking up all their clothes that were scattered on the floor, he gathered them and put them in the washing basket.
