Felt a tender touch on my forehead for a brief moment and I was smoldering in a heat as he tightened his hold.

"I am so sorry," his hot breath fanned my face. "I will try to be a better man so you can fully open up your heart for me. I will be patient. I can wait."

I quickly shook my head.

"That's not it... It's just I didn't want to cause any scandal or rumor at the firm since you're just starting to take over..."

"Our relationship is no secret. It is that we have to separate our work life and love life. We may seem distant at times because we have to keep everything professional. Certainly, I care not for scandals and rumors, spreading that you were cheating on me."

I stirred like a cat that was about to be given a bath in his arms. When he loosened his hold by a little, I locked gaze at my fiance's.

Then he lowered his gaze, eyes softened. His lips tugged into a smile. "Who does not?"

"Why does it have anything to do with the fact that someone said I was cheating on you? You know I would NEVER."

Ezekiel stopped in front of our car. His brows shifted slightly as he looked at me.

"I wish you had the same determination on your face before the day of your entrance exam, my dear. Otherwise, it would have been an A plus, not a B minus."

He had to bring it up again!

"Come on! B minus without even reviewing, I take that all days!"

His brows were now knitted together. "You... Did not review for the test?"

"How could you make a big deal of a test I did not review for but not the fact that Someone said I was Cheating on you?!"

"Simple. I trust you and I know you. And I know for a fact that no one else can tolerate your temper besides me—"

I poked his waist and he leaned side way almost dropping me.

"Be serious, Kiel!"

"I am serious."

"You are seriously about to get a punch."

He laughed under his breath. "I highly doubt you want to physically hurt me."

I removed my hand from his nape and raised my fist to his face.

"Wanna bet on it?"

He leaned over and kissed my knuckles.

"What do you want to bet on?"

The kiss threw me off guard. That was not the reaction I wanted. I was expecting him to yield submissively. Not... Agree with this!

Athy told me to Try threatening him with violence if I wanted an honest answer.
