After having drinks at the bar, we left for our homes with our respective drivers.

KIM MANSION

I entered the house a little bit stumbling. I raised my gaze — to my surprise, Mom was up at 3:00 a.m.

FUCK, I’M DOOMED. Realisation hit me so fast, like Jin hyung’s rap.

She crossed her arms over her chest and gave me a deadly glare. Wow. Wow. Now Dad was coming downstairs, rubbing his eyes and yawning. Mom was less sleepy, so Dad joined her.

“What happened, honey? Why did you leave me alone? I wanted to cuddle and you left me there, huh?” he said, pouting. I’m seeing this for the first time in my 28 years — Dad behaving like this. After seeing me standing there, he fixed his posture and cleared his throat.

“Why are you not sleeping yet?” Dad asked.

“Why are you asking him? Let me answer this,” Mom said.

Argh. Now I knew I couldn't escape this. Fuck me.

“Your son was in a club at this time. Now your son returned home after getting drunk.”

“But Mom, I had just one bottle of wine.”

“Shut up. Have you seen your son’s audacity? He’s talking like he doesn’t regret anything. You should say sorry to me, young man. You know I was worried as hell for you, and you were enjoying your time in the club? Why are you not scolding him, honey? He got spoiled because of you only.” Mom finished her sentence and started breathing heavily.

“Honey, he’s 28. He’s an adult; he can make his own decisions. And see, he said he drank only one bottle. If I were in his place I would’ve drunk two bottles at once — but don’t worry, son, you’ll be an expert by the time,” Dad said.

“What the he—” Mom cut off and he said, “And what do you mean by ‘my son’, huh? If you remember clearly, Mrs. Kim, we both created him on that special night.” He winked at her and she blushed.

What the fuck. I never thought my parents would do romance in front of me — they’re so shameless.

“Don’t you feel anything doing this in front of your own child?”

“Don’t forget, Tae — you wouldn’t be standing here if we both hadn’t done that night,” Dad said, picked Mom up in bridal style, and carried her to their room.

God please — at the age of becoming a father, don’t make me a brother. Please. Please.

Next morning.

Y/N’S POV

“Good morning, Mom and Dad.”
“Good morning, princess,” they replied.

“We were waiting for you.”
“Ok, let’s start now.”

“Princess, Taehyung’s gonna come to take you out at eight o’clock. Be ready,” Dad said.

I choked on my food and started coughing badly. Mom patted my back.
“Seriously, Dad, I’m not free.”

“I know. That’s why I told him to come at eight, not six.”

How bad can it be, Y/N-ah… I thought.

“You know, me and your dad were also arranged.”
“What?”

“Yes, princess. My mom found your mom for me.”

“And you know your dad was so arrogant and cold in the initial months of our marriage.”

“I thought you both had a love marriage.”

“This isn’t necessary — fall in love first and then marry. Sometimes you marry first and fall in love later,” Mom said.

“Just like us,” Dad added in a loving tone.

Argh. I already know I won’t fall for him ever.
“Time will tell,” Mom said.
“Yes, yes,” I muttered.

“I’m going.”

“Welcome, ma’am,” my assistant said.
“Hmm. Bring Mr. Park’s case file.”
“Yes, ma’am.”

Honestly, Kim Taehyung is such an arrogant, mannerless jerk. Why is everyone praising him? I don’t know what Mom and Dad find in him. I swear on my career, Kim Taehyung — I’m gonna make you regret marrying me. I smirked slowly.
