As Ryujin's words hung in the air, Jimin felt like he'd been punched in the gut. His mind went blank, and his body numbed. The only sound he could hear was the pounding of his heart, threatening to burst out of his chest.
A mix of emotions swirled inside him - shock, denial, guilt, and anxiety. Jimin's eyes widened, and his face felt like it was on fire. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Ryujin, the girl he'd known since childhood, the girl he'd carelessly slept with, was pregnant with his child.
Jimin's thoughts racing, he tried to process the news. He felt like he was trapped in a nightmare, and he couldn't wake up. The weight of responsibility, the fear of the unknown, and the regret of his past actions crushed him.
His eyes locked onto Ryujin's, and he saw the fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability reflected back at him. Jimin's heart sank, and he felt a wave of nausea wash over him. He didn't know what to say or do. All he could do was stand there, frozen in shock and terror.
As Jimin stood there, frozen in shock, Ryujin's voice brought him back to reality." Jimin, say something," Ryujin urged, her voice trembling. "Please, tell me what you're thinking." Jimin took a deep breath, trying to process his emotions. He knew he had to say something, but he didn't know where to start.
"I...I don't know what to say, Ryujin," Jimin stammered, feeling like he was failing her. "This is all so...unexpected."Ryujin's eyes filled with tears, and Jimin's heart sank. He knew he was hurting her, and it killed him.
"I'm sorry, Ryujin," Jimin said, taking a step closer to her. "I'm so sorry. I never meant for this to happen."Ryujin's face crumpled, and she buried her face in her hands. Jimin's instincts told him to comfort her, but he hesitated, unsure of how to proceed.
She wiped her tears and confessed" Jimin I had loved you from childhood . I knew our social differences made a relationship impossible, but I couldn't help the way I felt . Jimin please accept me and our child , I will live without your love ...my love is enough for both of us , please marry me . I know you will not accept me because I'm your maid's daughter but atleast accept our child . This is not at fault ... please don't punish him/her "
" I know Ryujin and I can understand your situation but please I'm not ready for this responsibility and I don't love you . We both can't live in a loveless relationship . It will be toxic for both of us even for our child . I'm really really sorry but I can't do it " just he was about to leave ...Ryujin's words halted him " I'll will kill myself then , I don't want to live like this "
" Are you insane " Jimin yelled softly . He took a breath and said " Alright I'll marry you but please don't end your life "
ONE MONTH LATER -
The soft glow of the hospital room lights illuminated Taehyung's peaceful face. The antiseptic scent of ethanol wafted through the air, mingling with the faint smell of hospital food.Taehyung lay comfortably in the bed, his arm encased in a cast and suspended in a sling. The soft beeping of the IV machine punctuated the silence, a reminder of the pain medication and fluids coursing through his veins.
Y/N sat beside him, her eyes fixed on Taehyung's relaxed face. She held his hand gently, her thumb tracing the lines of his palm.The doctor's voice broke the silence, "Mrs. Kim, your husband is going to be just fine. The fracture was minor, and he'll be back on his feet in no time."
Y/N smiled, relief etched on her face. "Thank you, doctor."Y/N squeezed Taehyung's hand. "I'll make sure he rests"Taehyung stirred, his eyes fluttering open. He gazed up at Y/N, a faint smile on his lips. "Hey..."
"What were you thinking, trying to lift that heavy equipment?" Y/N scolded, trying to hide a smile.Taehyung chuckled, wincing slightly as he shifted his arm. "I guess I wanted to prove I'm still young and strong."Y/N rolled her eyes. "You're not exactly old, but you're definitely not young anymore."Taehyung grinned. "Hey, watch it. I'm still pretty agile.
