QUITE fascinating seeing the Union and Syndicate International sit at one table casually talking and laughing with each other. Hindi umiimik si Regan habang tinitingnan si Giorgio at Ramones na naguusap sa harapan niya. Nagkakamustahan ang mga 'to na tila matalik na mag-kaibigan at nagpapalitan ng mga impormasyon tungkol sa mga nakakalaban nilang mga organisasyon.
Sa tabi naman niya ay si Claudio na kumakain ng cake habang naglalaro ng tetris sa kanyang smartphone. Katabi nito sa Sergei na nagbabasa ng magasin habang si Felipe naman ay tahimik lamang na nakamasid. He then turned his gaze to Rocket. Nahuli niya itong nakatingin sa kanya bago ito umiwas at naupo sa dulo ng conference table.
"You must be wondering what's happening." Claudio muttered beside him. Napalingon naman sa kanila si Giorgio at nakita niya ang pagsupil ng isang ngiti dito.
Isang ngiti na hindi niya gusto.
"You're confused, aren't you?" Giorgio asked. "This meeting wouldn't be possible if both organization seating in this table weren't accomplishing one thing—and that is to kill East. I hope you wouldn't mind that we're planning an assassination for your boss, Regan."
Regan scoffed at Giorgio's sarcasm. "Why don't you just start telling us the fucking plan that you're talking about?"
"Shh..." Giorgio raised his index finger to his direction to silence him before he gently leans his hands to the table. "Now I want you to shut that fucking mouth, Regan. You will only listen, speak when I say and observe. You do not represent any mafia right now. You, Regan, are nothing but a tourist. An outcast that doesn't have the rights to be seated here." He added and gave a snickering smile. "Do you understand?"
Regan grits his teeth in irritation. Tila mas kumulo pa ang dugo niya nang mahinang matawa si Giorgio bago ito muling sumandal sa kinauupuan. Hindi niya alam kung tama bang pinaniwalaan niya ang sinabi ni Ramones dahil wala itong imik na nakatingin sa kanya. He knows that Giorgio alone is much more powerful than Syndicate International. The connection of this man throughout the world was impeccable. Nakakapagtaka lamang na hindi nito kayang patalsikin si East nang basta-basta.
"The Union proposed a treaty agreement with Syndicate International as we agreed that both of the organizations stated will benefit if ever, we kill East." Sergei stood up from his seat and handed out files containing a written contract signed by the Five Family leaders and Ramones. "The Union could never oust a mafia boss if we fail to provide evidence against him. Thus, the reason why Ramones Walters reached out to us by using the evidence that Rocket has."
"We've been trying to get any information against East and the things he did in the past, but we cannot prove that he's guilty with the crimes we accuse him unless we obtain any evidence that will prosecute him legally." Felipe declared. "I know that in La Cosa Nostra, whether you did or did not do it, they still sentence you to death, right Regan?"
"Fucking illegal." Bulong ni Claudio.
"If you didn't know Regan, East was framing Syndicate International for stealing contrabands from the organizations under the Five Family, this causes them to lose hundreds of millions of dollars and more enemies that they shouldn't even have since their territory is the total opposite from ours. The men under East's commands were killing people from other criminal organizations under the Five Family without any reason." Sergei explained.
"This has been going on for years," Giorgio said and shook his head in disappointment. "And what kind of underboss are you again? Oh, the one who obeys East? The one who kills mafiosos for no reason? Correct?"
